"My lady, you still haven't answered the question. How do you know that Vendia will attack? This is a serious matter to declare." Henry looks down at me.

"Well, I can't really say how I know. I just know. But it's true that there will be an attack happening! And I can prove it by meeting up with the Vendia princes that arrived today!" I urged.

"You know I don't just say things! Mary, you know!" I look to Mary. She seems to be thinking about something.
"Regardless if my lady is correct. We can not just simply notify the royal family and or use force to restrain the Vendia guests." Henry shakes his head.

"My lady, even if the attack is true, We have nothing to do with it. Also, the royal knights are famous for their skills. If the sneak attack from Vendia is possible under their vigilance, then there isn't much we can do either." Mary adds on.

That's true. I didn't really think about that. Security has already been increased because Vendia has sent their royalty. Even if and when I do warn the royal family, they can't really do much about it. They've already done all that they can.

"But, we can still meet up with the Vendia princes. We might be able to collect information on when and where they attack!" I said. They won't outright tell us the location and time, but I could figure something out from their general schedule and view. I know the Vendia princes are plotting something. I just need to meet them and see for myself.

"My lady, do you just want to see the Vendia princes?" Henry looks at me weirdly.

"What? Of course, I want to see the Vendia princes!" I'm confused. Duh, I just said earlier that I wanted to go and see them! Why is he asking the same question again?

"Mary, have you ever seen the Vendia princes?" Henry asks Mary. She shakes her head.

"No, I haven't even seen Princess Echina. But I did hear that the Vendia royalty are very good-looking." She says.

"It's true. Prince Echina was a real beauty." I confirm her statement. Her looks were breathtaking and combined with Prince Caelum's brightness, they are a power couple. Henry sighs.

"Lady Annelise. If you wanted to see the Vendia princes, you could have just said so. You don't need to come up with an excuse." Henry berates me. Wait what now?

"Wait, you're misunderstanding me. Vendia really might be attacking the royal family tomorrow. Yes, I heard that the Vendia princes are handsome. But I don't want to just see them for that. I'm not that kind of person. I wouldn't have made up such a convoluted reason." I explained.

"...So you want to meet the princes to confirm your suspicions?" Henry asks. I nod.

"...You don't want to meet them because they're handsome?" Henry asks again. I nod but also shake my head.

"Why do you shake your head?" Henry asks me.

"Because, yes, I wanted to meet them to confirm my suspicions. But now that Mary has reminded me. I do want to go and see for myself if they are as good-looking as rumors told." I say. Henry looks a little uncomfortable. He glances over at Mary.

"Has she always been like this, even when she liked Prince Orion?" He asks her. She nods.

"My lady has always admired good-looking people. Why else would she have chosen you to tag along?" Mary tilts her head. Henry looks only slightly relieved.

I stare at them weirdly. What are they talking about? Who doesn't love to look at good-looking people? Why would I choose someone else over Henry? He's drop-dead gorgeous!

"Hey! Can we go and see them?" I wave my hands to get their attention. They look over at me.

"But what about the mock races? Don't you need to be there to ensure it runs smoothly?" Mary asks.

Hmm. Ah!

"Why can't you oversee it? You were with me during the entire process and you can communicate with the other servants and maids if there is any problem." I point to Mary.

"Pretty please?" I clasp my hands together and blink at Mary rapidly, fluttering my eyelashes and widening my eyes. Trying to bring out the cutest face I could muster. Mary looks perturbed.

"Ehhh. But I want to see the Vendia princes as well. Why can't you just do the event and see them tomorrow at the welcoming ball?" Mary crosses her arms.

"But I need to see them today! If they are going to plot anything. It will happen today! By the time tomorrow comes, the attack might happen and I might only get a glimpse of their faces!" I exclaim. Worst-case scenario, I might not even be able to see them tomorrow at the ball, they might have already left or gotten arrested if the attack actually happens. Henry taps my forehead.

"Lady Annelise, I think you are overreacting. But I also want to see them for myself." Henry declares, finally releasing his hands from my shoulders.

"The mock competition can wait. We should just get this over with and see the princes together." Henry says.

Oh yeah. Didn't think of that.

"Mary, go and tell the others that we'll move the mock back a few hours. That should give us enough time to meet up with the Vendia princes." I ordered.

"Don't meet them without me, okay?!" Mary pouts, but races off.

"Alright, let's go! Hurry, before Mary returns!" I grab Henry's arm and drag him back to the castle. Hopefully, we'll be able to meet with the Vendia princes. Ooh, I can't wait to see them for the first time in real life!
