The Monster Within Us

Chapter 5: First day

I walked inside of the school and the inside looks great! A young teacher that seems to be in her 30's was waiting for me to allow me to have a tour with her around the school. The tour was really long but just by looking around the school and how nice it looks, it actually is pretty cool. When the tour is over, she hand me a piece of paper of my locker number and the code for it and promises me not to lose it.

After I put my backpack inside of my locker, I went to the classroom where class is starting. The backpack I got is from Eric's brother, it had all the things I need to use for each type of school I would go to. The supplies for middle and high school would be in my room and the elementary school supplies would be in my backpack. I walked in and the teacher already saw that I was here and was gonna introduce me to the rest of the class.

"Ah! There you are." I walk over to the teacher and she gave everyone's attention. "Class, this is Jayla. She will be in the class for the rest of the year. Does anyone have any questions?" One of the kids rises his hand and the teacher calls out to him.

"Why does she have a mask? Does she have a condition?" -The kid asked. The teacher is a little bit upset. "Aaron. That is not nice. She wears a mask to protect herself from doing bad things to others." The teacher kneel down to me and apologizes about the kid. I didn't mind too much on the outside but on the inside, it hurts a bit. I walk over to my seat and sat down and we just continue on with our day.

Lunch time comes by and I couldn't eat. Aaron and his two friends walk up to me and started to harass me. Slap me, call me names. I did cry and ran to the bathroom. I wipe my tears off my face. Looking at the mirror, I can see my red eyes slowly getting brighter and brighter. I knew that this isn't good. I went to the stall and drink a small amount of animal blood to help myself. When I walk out of the stall and look in the mirror, my eyes are now dark red. I threw away the bottle and went back to the classroom as lunchtime was over.

I went back home after school is over. Vinny told me if my first day of school was good. I told him that the school is good but I found some bullies and had to drink some animal blood to help me. Vinny was upset about the bullies but was glad that I didn't lose control over my sanity quickly. He was proud of me for not doing anything wrong in school. After the talk, I went to the bathroom to look at myself. I brought myself a bottle of animal blood to test something as a experiment.

As I look at myself in the mirror again, I waited until my eyes are fully red and keep the door and windows locked. When that happened, I noticed my vision was starting to be red and the boys I can see around me is pitch black. When I look back at the mirror all I can see is words that is trying to make me convinced to kill someone.

"FEED", "YOU'RE GOING INSANE", "KILL SOMEONE NOW", "DRINK THEIR BLOOD"

It was horrifying to look at. What's next is I can see blood all over myself. Face, teeth, clothes, everywhere. It was only a matter of time until I truly lose control of myself. I grabbed the bottle of animal blood from the sink and drink it down. After some time, the bottle was empty and I closed my eyes to see the red vision gone. When I look at myself again, my eyes slowly faded to black again. I have finally learned about what I can really do about myself and how I can control myself.
