Chapter 71: A new place

I went back to the house to tell everyone I was okay. The figure walked up to me and grabbed my hand and run to my room, where Kaden, Derek and Clyde was at. All of them hugged me while the figure just stood there, he really don't like hugs. They was all worried about me. I had to explain it to them what has happened. Everyone had their eyes widen. They thought I was the only cannibal alive. Regardless, I went to the dinner room and ask for a bottle of normal human blood and left the house to meet up with Elijah.

"So, are you gonna stay here or are you gonna visit?" -Elijah said.

I'm gonna visit every now and then. -I said

"I don't really know what is inside of the area you're in. Does the place you live have cannibals in it?" -Elijah said

No, just monsters of any kind. Vampires, Werewolf's, Demons, you get the point. -I said

"You got everything you need?" -Elijah said

All I have is my axe and a few masks and I'm good to go. -I said

"Alright then, let's go." -Elijah said

I followed him and we have been walking for over 2 hours. Finally, we made it to a village. The village looks really nice, almost feels like a small city. I see everyone talking to each other, kids running around having fun, people working about doing their thing. It feels like a village from the 1700's before there was steel and factories. However, the village does have buildings that are made of steel and bricks but no smoke or anything like that.

I was amazed about what I am seeing there. Elijah walk me over to a drink shop, where a young adult man walks up to the counter.

"Morning Elijah, need anything?" -The man said in delight

"Two bottle of human blood please?" -Elijah said

The man grabbed two empty bottles and pour fresh blood inside of them and hand them to Elijah.

"Here you go." -The man said.

I was about to have him $5 when the man stopped me.

"We don't need money unless we really need to which is rarely. Keep it ma'am." -He said

Oh, thanks. -I said as I put my money back in my pocket.

"Now who is this lady?" -The man asked

"Oh her? This is Jayla. I wanted to show her the village here." -Elijah said.

I took off my mask, smiled and waved at him. He was a bit grossed out.

"Give me a second." -The man said. He grabbed a bowel and run some cold water in it and hand it to me. "Drink some water and spit it out in the bowl." -The man said.

Uh, okay then. -I said.

I drink some water and clean the blood off of my teeth and spit it out in the bowl and did it again a few times. After some time, I was good to go.

As me and Elijah was walking around I had to ask him a question.

Why did the guy running the shop told me to wash my mouth with water? -I asked

Elijah stopped and turned around to see me

"Unless you are at a area to where you can eat, you cannot show your teeth to anybody at all. It's technically against the law." -Elijah said

Wait, what law? -I asked

We make our way to a park and sat down on benches while the sun is rising up to beam us with it's shining light.

"It's illegal to eat humans outside of
the eating hall and it's also illegal to come inside of the village with bloody teeth. The reason why is due to insanity. Children can get scared of seeing bloody teeth due to them seeing them looking like they went insane." -Elijah said

Wait, so why is going insane is a bad thing? -I asked

"Remember that I told you that you can't see anyone of who they actually are when you go insane?" -He asked. I nodded.

"Well, you could kill and eat other cannibals too. That is the reason why we made it as a law. To prevent others from killing each other." -Elijah said

Speaking about that. What do you mean by the eating hall? -I asked, I start to drink the bottle as I felt like I was gonna go hungry.

"It's near here. Follow me." -Elijah said. We got up and we started walking to the eating hall.

As soon as I see the doors open, I can not only feel horror to my eyes but also my sanity slowly dropping.
