Alright, so....since we are cannibals, we have to relay on eating someone and it can be anybody and anyone. This includes your family or your friends if possible. This even happens if you have been hurt too much.
How the insanity works is if you haven't ate anyone in a while, like over a week or two, you will slowly start to lose control of yourself. It will get to the point where you cannot see who is who at that rate. If this continues, you will slowly go completely insane.
Let's take this as example. I've heard that you broke out right?
"Yeah...I broke out of a asylum."
Did you went insane? If so, how?
"I did went insane because I barely ate anything for over 2 months."
That explains it. If you haven't ate anything, you cannot see anyone as their own self. If you haven't controlled yourself, you will see red vision all over you and thoughts, telling you to kill somebody. If you have controlled yourself, you can last for over 3 weeks without eating someone. You will no longer have red vision but you will still have thoughts and not see anybody as who they are.
Now let's say you haven't ate anyone is over a month. You would have started to laugh a bit, after that, you will run really fast and do anything you can to kill someone. That includes killing your friends or family. You will try to kill anyone who is near you. At that rate, you basically cannot control yourself at all.
Since you have not killed anyone in over 2 months, you basically went to the third phase of you going insane.
"And what is that Elijah?"
Your eyes would be at the bright color, in any case, red, instantly. You would use any weapon to kill someone in the most gruesome way possible. You would laugh uncontrollably and it will take a while for anyone to kill you.
"So, how can I stop myself from going insane? That's the main question I asked."
Well you have to eat a few people and wait for over 15 minutes. After that, you will shake your head, having no memory of what you just done. In any case, it feels like you was in a deep sleep and wake up to a bunch of bodies near you and blood all over yourself, including your teeth.
"Have you witness anyone killing people by that?"
Yeah, to be honest, it sucks in every way possible. One guy kill another monster, it was a fallen angel and she was basically his helper. Another guy, ate a whole army with just a knife. A girl ate a family of 8. 2 of them was kids. Finally, a girl killed her boyfriend, who doesn't even know who she really is.
"What about you?"
I almost killed you and almost ate your arm. I'm not sure if you was able to get it back if I did ate it. Hell, we both would have been fighting each other for hours.
"That reminds me, are there any other cannibals, like us?"
Yeah, there is over 20,000 of us. We just live in a place that not even old monsters would find it. I can show you it if you want to.
"Yeah sure thing."
