Chapter 63: Rumors

The next day comes by and I was at the front of the university. I look down and I took a deep sigh, wondering what will I get after I was infected as a vampire. I grab my phone and look at myself: normal and with one of my masks on, it was blue this time. I put my phone away and after some time, I finally walk in.

I see everyone looking at me. For some reason, I actually felt scared. Probably due to what happened yesterday, people might call hunters to try and kill me. As I am walking to my first class, I get called names and threats.

"You don't belong here."

"What the hell are you doing back here huh?"

"Are we now your food huh?"

"If you don't leave we are gonna fucking kill you!"

"Someone is gonna call the hunters on you, bloodsucker!"

"Just die already will you? You people don't deserved to be here!"

I went to my locker and put my stuff away and put my phone away and closed my locker. As soon as I did that, I turned around to see a few guys right up on me, they was right infront of me. I was getting beaten up real bad. Bruises and blood all over my face and on the floor. I couldn't really get up and the next thing I knew, I was crying blood. One of the guys saw that and slammed his foot on my back and I scream in pain.

"Aww...did we broke your back? Can't you heal?" -One guy said. They all started to laugh, while I'm just laying there. I tried to get up but that same guy put his foot on my head and push my head back on the floor.

I haven't even kill anyone! Why are you beating the shit out of me?! -I cry in pain

"It's simple, you're a vampire. You can kill us any day now, so we will give you the pain that you monsters gave to us." -The guy said.

All 5 of the guys beat me up. I move my head up to see a fist getting send flying at me and I was knocked out, cold.

A hour later, I was at the nurse's office. Dizzy and dazed, I sat up and try to find the nurse while my vision is really blurry.

Nurse! Are you here? -I call out.

My vision is still blurry. However there is one thing I've noticed, I don't see or feel sunlight going to my body. Did they close the windows? Do they know who I am or is it because of the rumors? Before I can fully finish the questions in my head, a nurse finally arrived, I can tell due to whiteness all over her body.

"Ah good, you're awake?" -The nurse said

Hey, I tried calling out for you. -I said

"There was other people I had to help. Are you feeling okay now?" -The nurse asked

My vision isn't doing well, guess my eyesight is fucked up. -I said

"Ah, I get it. You got beat up by some students right?" -The nurse asked

Yeah I did but I don't remember their names sadly. -I said

"Well that explains your skin tone." -The nurse said

I rub my eyes and my vision is slowly getting better and I saw my skin was pale.

Oh fuck. -I said, in a panic. I got up but the nurse stopped me. All of a sudden I started to feel burns all over my body. I screamed out in pain again. It feels like I am actually dying.

Jesus fuck STOP! -I yell in pain.

The nurse finally stop and I sigh in relief. My vision came back to normal and there I saw it.

A cross, sitting at her desk. I stop myself from going after her as she was basically doing her job. It feels like she didn't really have a choice.

Is that the reason why the windows are closed? -I asked, still breathing.

"Yes, you guys can be die by sunlight and judging from the rumors, they are true." -The nurse said.

Wait what rumors, and why the fuck do you have a cross?! -I said.

"The rumors are that you killed someone when you just turned into a vampire. Professor X is missing and people are assuming that you did it. I was doing my work when I heard people beating up someone. I told them I will call the principal and the police. They ran and I saw you." -The nurse said

So what now? -I said

"I'm not done. When I brought you in, your skin was really cold so I had to lay you down on another bed and closed the windows and turn off the lights. I even grabbed a cross my mother gave me in case a vampire tried to attack me." -The nurse said. I walk over to the bed and sat down as she continue talking.

"After some time, you turned into your vampire form, which sets the rumors to be officially true guessing it's due to the fact you need blood to stop the hunger flowing into your body. However, I didn't see you wake up. After some time, you woke up and later on, you ran to me. I panicked, thinking you was gonna attack me so I grabbed my cross to defend myself." -The nurse finished by handing me a bag of blood. It feels old, regardless I drink it and it felt like it was over 2 weeks old.

Thanks, even though it didn't taste well, but....-I said with a pause. The nurse turned around, wondering if I was gonna finish my sentence. 'why did you help me?' -I finished

"Well I have to help everyone, even if it means you as well. You are still a student in my eyes." -The nurse said as she touched my shoulder. It feels like I am a kid again but if I actually have loving parents.

Thanks a bunch. -I said. I got up and grabbed a tissue and wipe the blood off of my face and put my mask back up. I threw the tissue away and turned back to my human self and went to my 3rd class.

As the day goes by, more and more people start to hear the rumor. I feel more and more worried about myself and then during the last class, I heard a announcement.

The hunters entered the university...
