Chapter 9: The bullying

I sigh for a bit and told him what does he want from me. He asked if he missed me, to which I said 'Hell no' to him. He was trying to slam my head against the locker again but a teacher stopped him and let me go. He just did as he asked and released my head from his grasp. As I was heading to my next class, Aaron stopped me and said one thing only to me: "You got lucky Jayla." and then he went to his next class. I was stunned about it, he really have changed for the worse.

When it came to lunch this time, I actually went outside, yet again. I took off my mask and start to drink yet again. Instead of Lilly and her friends, it was Aaron and his friends. Whenever I do drink animals blood, if I feel like I'm alone, I would not use a straw, however, if someone is near me or is watching me, I would drink with a straw. Since I came outside, I would drink with a straw because anyone would see me, really.

Aaron would walk up to me and I was drinking like normal. He did tried to take my drink but I knew what Lilly have done and I moved my drink away from him. I put my mask back on.

Aaron, can you back up? It's lunch. -I ask nicely

"Oh? If that was the case, why are you not in the school huh?" -Aaron said.

You can eat lunch outside of the school, just not in the campus. Now what is it? -I asked

"I just wanted to see how you have been doing? You think you are strong and tough now aren't ya?" -Aaron said.

"It's time to beat her up yeah?" -Devin said.

"I haven't hurt someone in a while!" -Thomas said in glee.

"Now now boys, let me do the work." -Aaron said.

I can't do anything about it so I just let them beat me up. I was knocked out pretty hard. If I did fight back, not only I might start a fight, I might hurt someone. Weather it's a bully or a random stranger.

After 20 minutes later, I woke up and got up, the bottle was still on the ground, broken with blood spilling everywhere. I quickly look at my phone and noticed my eyes are close to bright red. 'SHIT!' I panicked. But I noticed my skin, I guess the healing worked as it didn't look like I got beat up, but whatever it is, the boys left after they saw I wasn't gonna wake up anytime soon. I quickly grab my bag and went back to class.

I got back home and only Vinny was there to see me. He looked at me and felt....uneasy about me. He got up and looked at me.

"You need to eat. What happened to you Jayla?" -Vinny said

I didn't drink enough, now I had to go and hunt. I'll see you later. -I said. I put my bag next to the door and left and waited till it was nighttime.
