Chapter 56: Staying down until class is over

It's been over a hour now and me and 2 others are still down here. How are they even going is my only question to them. As this rate, all I have done is meditation with my eyes open to keep myself afloat. The other two guys, I don't know what they are doing, maybe playing tag. If we can play cards it would work but the cards would get wet and be ruined so that is out of the list.

There is really not much to do down there. I would go to the surface but I figure I can stay down here for a couple of hours. As I was looking around, I noticed someone grabbed the back of my mask and tried to take it off, I turned around and pushed him out of the way. I don't know why he would do that but that is something I wouldn't like to happen. I noticed the other two guys was trying to fight me. I look at them both and shook my head, trying to tell them they do not want to see me with my mask off. Sadly they didn't listen and still swim to me.

We had to fight for a bit. I really do not want to fight them, even on my first day on college. After some time, we stopped because it was starting to get pointless. Until I noticed one of them is bleeding, my eyes widen as I immediately swim to the guy to try and cover his face. I remember I have another mask and I put it on him. I shook my head and we resolved the issue but now there is a bigger issue that is coming to us. All of a sudden we heard a splash and we look up. We both see bright red eyes coming towards us. That's how we knew we was in trouble. I immediately push the guy without the mask out of the way and we both see Professor X, in her vampire form, ready to come after us. Our eyes widen and we see X swimming quickly to the guy with the mask and tried to grab him off of me. I punched her out of the way and we immediately swim up to the surface, X looked up and see us trying to swim to the surface. How in the hell can she become hungry that quickly?!

I noticed she grabbed my foot and started to pull me down, the guys turned around and look down to see me slowly going down with her. They can't do anything about it and swim to the surface. On the surface, they took a deep gasp and everyone ran up to them and pulled them out of the water. One of the students ran up to them and hugged them both, knowing that they are safe.

"Thank god you are okay!"

"Yeah, we don't know what we to do if we stay down there"

"Wait, who's mask is that?"

"That's Jayla's. She hand me one of them after we had a small fight."

"Why would you start a fight?"

"We wanted to see what she will look like without her mask, but she doesn't like it. When she found out I was bleeding, she hand me one of her masks to stop the bleeding. It's like she knew we was gonna be in trouble."

"Wait a minute? Where is Jayla?!"

The rest of the students runs to the pool

"SHE'S STILL DOWN THERE!"

"Well there is nothing we can do about that. We will have to wait and see."

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE?! SHE COULD DIE!"

"Didn't you noticed anything about our Professor?"

"No..."

"She ran so fast and she threw Abby to the pool so well. It was like she teleported."

"That reminds me." -Abby said. "I noticed something."

Everyone turned to look at her.

"What?"

"Take off your mask Mark." -Abby said

Mark took off my mask, there was blood on the inside of the mask and that's when she found out. He puts it back on.

"I get it! Who looked at our Professor?" -Abby asked

"I did, her other eye just opened up out of nowhere and didn't say anything. Then she jumped in the pool with no questions asked."

"Well that explains why her eyes are both bright red now..." -Mark said

"Wha-what do you mean?" -The other guy said, his name is Shawn

"Professor X, is not human." -Mark said

Everyone gasped and look at the pool.

Back down at the pool, X is still bringing me down to the bottom of the pool, how am I still alive is surprisedly a question I don't even know about myself. Finally, we both made it down to the bottom of the pool. Now our eyes are both bright red. We both can't talk and what we can do is start a fight. We both punch each other and I had to push X out of the way so I can try and swim to the surface. At some point, I may actually drown. Every time when I try to swim to the surface, X always finds a way to pull me down. After some time of trying to swim and fighting each other, X finally went out of her way to bite me. I still can't scream but it does look like X actually enjoy it for some weird reason. Finally I feel some of her blood going inside of me, that's when I immediately grabbed her and slam her to the ground. Now with vampire blood inside of me and slowly infected, I swim up the surface as quickly as I can. X woke up and swim up to me as fast as she can, I actually gasped. I grabbed her hands and twisted them, she screamed and I let go of her. Before I know it, I'm already infected as a vampire. I put my hand out and I already feel a burn on my hand to the point I had to put it back in the water.

The students ran up to the pool when they saw my hand and saw I put it back in the water. They don't see X anywhere. That's when they knew what happened to me. I knew I had to embrace it. I pulled myself out of the water and quickly ran to the shading of the doors to the bathroom. I already got burn marks on my body that fast.

Slowly burning myself may not actually save me if I have been burning for a long time.
