Chapter 19: Time to really get into business

A announcement was heard over the intercom and it does not sound like a normal announcement. It's more of a warning to us.

"THIS IS NOT A DRILL! THERE ARE ACTUAL PEOPLE WHO ARE ARMED AND IS TRYING TO KILL STUDENTS. STAY LOCKED INSIDE YOUR CLASSROOMS AND HIDE. DO NOT MAKE ANY NOICES, IF POSSIBLE FIGHT BACK IF THEY COME INSIDE! I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL!"

The intercom goes away, and I can already hear some of the girls crying softly. A couple of the boys are calming them down. Very few of the students actually was staying quiet. The teacher grabbed chairs and moved it to the door. I knew I had to do something about it. I was about ready to walk outside when the teacher grabbed my shirt and pulled me down.

"What are you doing Jayla?" -The teacher said.

I'm going outside and fight. -I said

"You are gonna get shot by those guys. What are you thinking?!" -The teacher shouted quietly

I know what I am gonna do teach. Let me go outside and I will do what I can to help you guys. -I said with no remorse.

The teacher paused for a minute and finally let me leave the classroom. As soon as I leave, he locked the door immediately. I turned around and felt guilty to them. Risking my life just to save a bunch of people I don't really know, but I don't have a choice.

As I was walking down the hallway, I noticed a guy had a pocket knife in his hand and was trying to hurt a staff. I immediately ran to them and grabbed the knife and stabbed him in the leg. He screamed in pain and I punched him, causing him to be knocked out. I then turn around to put out my hand and let the teacher up and told her to hide in a bathroom. She did what I asked and ran to the bathroom and lock the door.

I then ripped the knife out of the guy's leg and patched him up. I remember I had my phone with me so I called the cops and told them what school I am in and what situation we are in. They knew I wasn't lying and is coming to the school. I'm not here to kill people but instead knock them out or try a new tactic I wanted to do, kidnapping or better, keeping them tied until I wanted to do something to them. It's for a good reason since they are trying to attack the school first.

I picked up the guy I first stabbed and brought him to the teacher lounge and found out they had powerful tape. That would be a good thing to use since they haven't used this yet. So that is the first thing I did. I put the guy on the chair and tied him up with the tape and hope he doesn't break out.

I went to different hallways on each floor and find different guys. Some using guns, other using knifes and some unarmed. I find different ways to knock them out and if possible, hurt them a bit, and no, I'm not talking about ripping a limb off or two. I'm talking about choking them until they pass out. That's what I meant by 'hurting' them.

There was also times that some was holding people hostage so I actually let them try to shoot me and then sneak attack them. Whenever that was done, I untie the hostages and told them to leave. Then put the armed guys in those chairs and tie them up. Some of them had ropes on them, so I used the ropes who actually hurt the people they tried to keep hostage of.

All of a span of two hours, I put them in the teachers lounge, bathrooms, and in classrooms that are empty. There was 10-35 of armed guys in the school. I did get shot and stabbed at times, but I got to the point where I almost went insane but I managed to live through it.

After those hours, the cops arrived and I showed them where I kept the armed guys held in and what weapon they used on their lap. Every time when I pick up their weapons, I would wear gloves that I would steal from the cafe and hopefully not put my finger prints on the weapons, but on the gloves instead and once I'm done with that, I throw away the gloves.

They was surprised that I even did all of this. I told them that I knocked out all of them, I didn't hurt any of them. One of the cops walk up to me and asked "Why did I put them in chairs like I am kidnapping them?" I said to them 'In case they escape, or if they tried to fight back.' They took my word for it and let me go and put all of guys in cop cars.

As for me, I got hurt badly to the point the bullets are out of me, but I wasn't healing, so I was slowly bleeding over time. No one saw it since the armed guys was knocked out and the hostages left the school building. After confirming that it was over, the principal told everyone that the attack was over and that we all are able to leave. I went back to the class and grabbed my bag when the teacher noticed how messed up I was. He immediately send me to the nurse's office and let her help me out by putting bandages on me and cleaning the blood off of me.

"How are you alive?!" -The nurse said

Guess I got lucky then. I had to take the bullets out myself so you're fine with it. -I said

"Do you need a ice pack?" -The nurse asked

No thanks, just clean the blood off of me and bandage me up and I'll take care of the rest, okay? -I said.

The nurse smiled and did her thing. After she was done, I knew she was gonna cry so I let her cry on my shoulder. I knew she was gonna die to her knowing I risked my life to save everyone else. I'm not really a hero, I just hate having people coming into a area without permission to be honest with you. I smiled a bit to she her crying. I'm happy that she knew I did this for a good cause.

After that, I got her name: It's Talia and I told her my name. We both finally went back home and I had to go hunting for animals later on during the night. It was a crazy day, that was for sure.
