Chapter 43: Another steal

This time, I waited until it was nighttime and I figured Zachary might want to fight me. I was at the city that my school was in, waiting nearby a bar. After some time, I see Zachary heading to that same bar. He walked in and I followed. The bartender recognized me and I walk up to them.

"Here to get something to drink?" -The bartender asked

Only here to get some water, I don't drink you know? -I requested

The bartender gave me a drink of water and I set down 2 dollars for him to grab. As I turned around to leave, I see Zachary looking at me and I didn't even look back. I left the bar to take off my mask and drink the water, and then put the mask back on. I started to finish it down when I see Zachary walking out of the bar.

Hey, good to see you. -I said. He turned around to see me, finished with the cup. I look directly at him.

"Oh so you're following me now this time huh?" -Zachary asked

Buddy....I was here before you. Calm down. -I said

He finally stopped and walk up to me.

Do you want to hang out? -Zachary asked

Uh.....I guess -I responded

It was weird seeing him asking me to hang out with him. I feel like it was suspicious. Regardless, I wanted to do something with him that he may never forget. We both started to walk around, I fell behind for a bit and we continue it for 2 minutes now. He was talking about some things that I didn't really care about. After that, he stopped talking and was wondering where I was.

"Jayla? Where are you?" -Zachary asked

Without him knowing, I started to choke him using my arm to tie it around his neck. He was trying to make me let go of him but he was probably wondering where did I get all this strength from? After some time now, he finally passed out.

As time went by, I took my mask off and think what I should do with him. Should I eat him now or should I punish him? That's when I thought of a good idea, to bring him at the house and keep him as a hostage to myself. After I thought of my decision, I picked him up and went back to the house.

As soon as I walked in, everyone immediately looked at me again. Some was confused. I was looking at them from the left to right. I then continue walking to the punishment room as I would call it and close the door behind me. I noticed everytime when someone is dead, regardless of what type, a chair would either be replaced or cleaned off. The chair looks to be cleaned. I sat him down on the chair and found some things that would help me. Ropes. I grabbed them and tie him up by tying his arms to the back of the chair and the same to his ankles to the front legs of the chair.

I then left the room and made a sign of my face on it and left my room and went to the door of the punishment room and tape it on there. I put a little message there for anyone to see it when they look at the door.

Do not enter the room until the sign is removed. Only Jayla is able to remove this sign

After that, I went to the diner room and ask for a small bottle of blood of any kind. The person who worked for the diner area to give blood to, is another vampire. They hand me zombie blood and I took a drink of it and test it. It doesn't really taste that bad, nor good. It does taste like human blood but if the human have been dead for 2 weeks. As I look at the vampire, I noticed they look upset.

Hey! Come sit with me. -I shouted, alerting the vampire.

"Oh...ok then." -The vampire said

They walk over to the table I was sitting in and sit down in front of me.

Hey, are you okay? You seem upset. -I asked

"Yeah, I'm doing okay." -The vampire said

No, you're not. Please, tell me what is wrong? -I said.

The vampire sigh.

"Fine. You got me. You see, I don't know how to communicate to other vampires. I wasn't really trained well by the parents. Instead, they was training my brother, who is now dead by those same parents. I want to be useful like all the other vampires here and yet, here I am working as a blood bartender." -The vampire said

I stopped for a bit until I finally got it.

Sure, show me the training room. -I said

"Wait, you are being serious right?" -The vampire said.

I got up, look at the vampire and smirk. 'Who said I was gonna deny?' -I said with a smile.

I see the vampire's eyes light up. They immediately got up and hugged me. "Oh thank you! Thank you!!!" -The vampire said.

I jumped for a bit when they hugged me but when I finally realize it, I was happy and hugged them back. We let go of each other and walk to the training room.
