"Fucking wake up!" Ash yelled from the outside of Elvira's bedroom door, causing her to wake up abruptly from her very nice and well-deserved sleep. "Oh my fucking god, can you be any louder?" she yelled back at him before she heard him walk into the kitchen, leaving her to get out of bed and get ready for the day.
She had spent a week in a row now wearing her working clothes, so today she wanted to feel a little nice. She dragged her body out of bed before she made her way to the closet and pulled out one of her favorite dresses. A dark purple dress with a high split on both sides of the hip, going all the way up to her hip bone, exposing the entire side of her thighs.
"Looking good there," she said to herself in the mirror after she did her hair, and then she inhaled deeply before she walked out to her kitchen. "Thanks for waking me up so gently," she sarcastically said to Ash. "Your guest is in your office," he said, and Elvira felt a lump form in her throat. She hadn't thought this far ahead. What would she even say to Aya?
"Oh, thank you so much," she said to Ash, before slowly walking towards her office, taking her sweet sweet time. "Who turned you into a turtle?" Ash asked from the counter, and Elvira stopped, turned around to flip him the bird, and then walked into her office.
Aya stood by Elvira's desk, looking at the papers lying there. "Are you finding anything interesting?" Elvira said, causing Aya to jump in surprise before she turned around to see Elvira. Elvira had expected Aya to smile or cry or something like that when she saw her, but what she did not expect, was that Aya would slap her across her face.
"Ok, I deserved that," Elvira admitted while lifting her hand to touch the now stinging area on her cheek. "You fucking idiot, how could you be so stupid?" Aya said while tearing up. "Fucking taking the blame and leaving Piltover? Leaving me? Jayce? Viktor? With nothing but a note?" she ranted.
"I did expect you to do something when I told you the council was looking into who made your heart, but I didn't think you would just leave!" she said before she lifted her hand to slap Elvira again, but Elvira grabbed her hand before she could land a hit.
"I'm sorry," Elvira said before she pulled Aya in for a hug, which she hesitantly returned. After they pulled apart from the hug, Elvira and Aya sat down and Elvira explained her situation and she explained everything that had happened since she left Piltover.
"So I heard about the breakup, I'm sorry," Elvira said, giving Aya and sympathetic look. "No, it's fine. We parted on good terms. We just figured out that we had different goals in life, and we simply grew apart," Aya explained with a sad look on her face.
"And you're working with Jayce, how's that?" Elvira asked, changing the topic. "I'm not really working with him, it's more like working under him. I just assist with whatever he needs, but he's really stubborn. He just became more stubborn and difficult after you left," she explained. "I see."
"But it's fine, I like what I'm doing. It's boring without you there though, my days are much slower and grayer," she explained, making Elvira feel even more guilt for leaving. "I'm sorry, I..." "Elvira!" Ash yelled from the entrance to her home. "Your friend is here!" he added.
"I gotta go speak with him, do you mind just waiting here? I will be back as soon as I'm done with him," Elvira asked as she stood up. When Aya nodded her head, Elvira disappeared out the door to greet Viktor.
"Thank you for coming over, how are the patients?" she asked him as she walked through the foyer. "The machine has slowed down the spread of the toxins, but it has not stopped the spread completely. We need something to make it stronger," he said as he walked up to Elvira.
"I see," she said while leading him further into her house, and to the bar. She poured herself a glass of wine. She offered Viktor something to drink, but he declined the offer. "Have we figured out what the cause of the explosion was?" she asked him while swirling the wine around in the glass. "No, but I inspected the scene yesterday, and evidence showed it might be a fire that got too close to a glass tank."
