Capri Martin, the next week
Monday afternoon
It was a rough couple of days but you know...I was happy to go back to school today. I had no work piling up and I was free to do whatever I wanted. It was the best feeling in the world right now. Today was so drama free and I was so appreciative of it. For the first time in a while I think I was going to have a normal week.
Too bad Q had gotten suspended. I would have loved to hang with him. When Sam was with Sonny or when Zillah was with Jay, I was pretty much left all alone.
Q was my only other friend I hung out with. But that didn't stop us from texting though. Even after the conversation my friends and I had. Q was good company and didn't make me want to tune out of convos. So since that night, we've kind of been going back and forth ever since Wednesday night. We ended up talking til sun rise too.
It was just nice that I had someone else to talk to. Someone who saw how I viewed the world in my point of view.
Q ball
Ima pick you up from school today
Looking down at the message, my heart began to race. I hated that feeling and I wanted it to stop but I couldn't fuckin help it. The text was so random because we were literally just talking about who the better Spider Man was. (Tom Holland of course.)
me
why?
Q ball
I need another study session. You know since I'm out of school I won't be learning like that. Figured you could be my lil teacher fa the week.
me
well school is pm over Q 💀 unless you're waiting outside for me already then i'm walking home
Q ball
Gone head and check the school parking lot.
There was no way this boy was waiting for me outside already. Like if he was, he had to have preplanned this because what the fuck.
Dodging through the people in the hallway, I made sure I made it first to the back door of the school. Then I exited the building and scanned the student parking lot. I swear Q'a car was the first one I recognized in that parking lot.
Out of all the cars in that bitch, his was the first that caught my eye. So running up to it, I made sure it was him in the drivers seat then I waved with excitement. I hadn't seen him in person since last Wednesday and it felt so good to see him again.
Waving back to me, Q opened the passengers seat door from inside and let me in.
"Heyyyy." I smiled, reaching in to hug him.
He hugged me back, wrapping his arms around me and then we pulled away.
"Good to see you in person." He smiled, looking me up and down. "You look nice."
"Thank you." I blushed. "I can't believe you're here."
"Why can't you?" He asked me.
I shrugged my shoulders. "With you being suspended and all. I just didn't think you would go out of your way to pick me up and shit."
"When it comes to you, ima put all that shit aside."
Butterflies.
"Why?" I questioned, trying to see what his answer was going to be.
"You my lil homie, juice pouch." He smirked, putting his keys in ignition. "How was ya day?"
"It was good." I smiled back. "What about you? What did you do today?"
"You know, a lil a this. A lil a that." He sighed answering me very vaguely per usual.
Which made me wonder again. Why he never wanted to tell me anything. Why he was so secretive about his life and who he was. What he did. I couldn't tell if I was being nosy or a genuinely concerned friend at this point.
