the next day
Today wasn't as productive as I wanted it to be. I slept til 3 in the afternoon, binge watched some tv, and took like 3 naps. It was one of those days. Mostly because what happened with my parents yesterday was still heavy on my mind. This nigga got Brenda pregnant! He knocked her up and he was seemingly still with my mom. I was sick. And the way he was treating me was so nasty? Like?

I couldn't deal with this mentally or physically. I was just gonna let God handle this and work shit out. Cause I tapped out a long time ago. If I did or said anything, shit would turn upside down. So I continued to keep quiet.

Just trying to figure out what I was going to do for the remainder of the evening without having to leave the house. But when I saw my mom getting ready, I immediately knew what I wanted to do.

I leaned back to watch her in the kitchen. She'd been grabbing paper towels to wipe off some excess lip gloss. It was safe to say this lady was going out and that meant Q was coming over. We were about to have the house all to ourselves.

Grabbing my phone, I immediately texted him.

Me
come over.

I kind of liked having time away from him. Gave me time to do me and reflect. But it also made
me more excited to see him.

Making my way out of the living room, I thought I'd take my shower now so I wouldn't have to do it later. But as I was about to enter my bathroom,  I could see my mom from her room and she'd been singing happily.

Part of me told me to ignore it, but the other part was nosy and I wanted to know what was going on.

Pressing my hand against her door, I slightly pushed it open. I ended up scaring her because the way she jumped was too funny.

"I'm sorry." I cackled.

Thought she would be mad but she ended up laughing with me. "You scared the shit out of me."

"I could see...where you going?" I questioned, watching her get ready. "You look nice..."

"Thank you." She cheesed. "I'm going out with your father actually."

My stomach dropped. "Daddy?"

"Yeah." She laughed. "He actually wants to take me out right before I leave for my business trip.  And I've been in a good mood lately so why not? You know?"

"D-daddy wants to take you out?" I questioned.

"Well he is my husband still. We may not get along most of the time but we have our moments." She shrugged.
