Like I said, I didn't do parties. At all. But I knew I'd be happy and content once I went and had a good time. I could get some pictures in and make some new friends. I looked cute, my outfit was cute, hair was done, tattoo was covered, I even did a little makeup. I was feeling myself and no one could tell me anything. I just radiated confidence from head to toe.

From Zillah's house, it didn't take us long to get to this guys house. He lived not too far from the pool so it was gonna be very easy getting back home. I was nervous. We didn't know these people. They didn't even go to our school so it was nerve wracking meeting a new crowd of people our age.

Just hoped they didn't treat us differently. I mean, they were nice enough to invite us so I assumed we passed the vibe check.

Handing me her 'water bottle' after taking a sip, Sam nodded her head at me. "Come on. Drink up girl. We at least need a buzz before we go in."

"What is it?" I questioned, swirling the liquid around.

"Vodka."

Sucking air through my teeth, I tilted my head. "Ooo girl..."

"What?"

"Giving me Vodka is just asking me to act out of character."

"Good. Gives you a chance to break out of that comfort zone and meet some new people whether it's girls, guys, a friendship, or relationship. You worked hard all year. You need to have fun." Sam said in an encouraging tone.

"And it's good we're showing up two hours after it started so a good majority of the people should be there."

"Yup! Fashionably late baddies who aren't from the area." I agreed, downing a good amount of the Vodka. I took more than what a shot would be and it hit me instantly. "We just need to stick together, watch our drinking and know where everyone is."

"OKAY PRI! I see you!" Sam exclaimed.

"Y'all are right. I need to get over what's his face and have me some fun!" I shouted, putting my hands up.

"Yeah see! That's what I'm talkin about!" Zillah exclaimed from the driver's seat.

My adrenaline was so up right now. I wanted to reinvent myself tonight. Since no one knew me, I could be who I wanted to be. Make a good first impression and genuinely enjoy myself.

And if I met someone, I met someone. Maybe this was the universes sign that my real soulmate was out there waiting for me. #That boy was just a test round.

After 3 hours of trying to get this girl to calm down, she was out like a light. Exhausted from running around and making big ass messes.

She pissed on the floors a few times. Apparently she wunt potty trained so of course me and E was gone have ta teach ha. Meaning I was gone teach ha by myself cause Eli wunt doin jack shit.

I was really gonna train this girl too. To do more than just attack. To stay loyal to ha owners and love me a little more than she loved E. She was my responsibility and I was so happy I took her in. She made me feel whole again. Gave me a purpose.

Taking a deep breath, I left her room door cracked and made my way into my bedroom. I could finally shower and get some sleep before meeting with some niggas who wanted to deal tomorrow.

I swear there'd been an increase in clients eva since me and Pri stopped speakin. So maybe this was the universe tellin me I needed to stop focusing on girls and focus on my money and my business.

This was the universe telling me Capri was holding me back and all I needed was my mama, brotha and my best friend. A girlfriend wunt what I needed to succeed.
