a few weeks later...
I was so excited for today. Stressed, but very excited. I couldn't stop smiling about the thought of today. After pushing it back so many times, I was finally having the housewarming of my dreams. I'm talking all my friends and family plus Q's.

Too many people were coming for me to cook, so I went big and got it catered. This was a new beginning for me and Q. I had to snap with this. Plus...I kinda turned it into a party, celebrating his tattoo shop.

He put so much time into getting it in the first place. Then there was setting up his website, promotion, making the place more than presentable, and hiring people he thought would be good to work for him.

I was so proud of him. Never seenhim so dedicated to something other than drug dealing. And now he had a healthy outlet to put all that art talent into.

I was his biggest cheerleader right now. Number one supporter too. Rooting for my man all the way. Team Quentin over here. I was just so proud of him.

I just been happy in general. Things seemed to be looking up for us. Started my new job, got the place looking exactly how I wanted it to, Q's tattoo shop, my dad and I were speaking everyday. Well only because I was paying his phone bill but still! I was glad to hear from him. I was happy. Everyone was happy.

And now this housewarming was going to make everything even better than it was. Everything was going to be perfect.

I was finally seeing my little sister. I had to BEG Brenda to bring her over. I also had to convince her that my dad wasn't gonna be there. As bad as I wanted him to, I didn't think he was fit enough for this kind of event.

"You nasty." Quentin laughed, entering the kitchen.

"What?!" I exclaimed, licking my fingers.

A little bit of frosting from this cake got on my fingers. There was literally no way for me to wipe it off. The paper towels were high up and the sink was across the way. So I licked it and he just happened to catch me.

"Listen...what was I supposed to do?" I chuckled, washing my hands.

"Let me lick em." He smiled, coming up behind me and kissing on me. I swear he couldn't keep his hands to himself.

"That's even nastier." I chuckled, rinsing my fingers and flicking him with the water on my hands.

"Fuck you!" He hissed, letting me go.

Running away, I just knew he was gonna try and get me back. I was 100% right because his childish ass filled his hands with water and flung it at me.

My entire shirt had been wet now. The shirt I was wearing for this fucking get together.

"You play too much!" I spat, opening a water bottle and wetting him. Then I threw it at him. Now he'd been just as wet as me.

"You a trifling ass nigga. Hold on." He scoffed, taking the same water bottle and flinging it across the room.

He thought that shit was so funny because he was laughing and smiling hard as hell.

His laugh made me laugh so I guess I couldn't be mad at him. I started it anyways.

"I swear you are so childish!" I cackled, taking what was left of the water bottle and throwing it at him.

Now we were soaked and the kitchen floor was drenched with water.

"You started it!" He cheesed.

"I did. But you ain't supposed to retaliate. You supposed to just let me bully you."
