"So you mean ta tell me Don was spitting game at Capri?" I whispered, following Eli into the dining room.

"Yeah bro. I peeped the way he looked at ha from the beginning. Like a nigga was plottin. Not to fuck up y'all relationship, but I neva liked ya favorite cousin. Nigga was very sus from day one." He spoke. "And Pri only 18. You needa check him fa real."

I thought about it fa a second. It was disappointing to find out from my brother that my favorite cousin had been a fraud nigga. But on the other hand what if nigga was just jealous of the bond we had.

Me and Don acted like brothers more than me and Eli did sometimes. What if this was all some scheme to break us up? And Capri ain't say nun to me bout it the whole night. So I didn't know what to believe.

"Ion believe it. Pri woulda said sum." I shrugged, sitting at the table.

"Nigga are you dumb a stupid? Pri prolly ain't say nun cause we all know how you get. You be ready to turn the spot up and fuck everyone up. She prolly ain't wanna cause no drama in front of the fam. You know she quieter than a church mouse on Sunday."

"We'll see...I'll have a talk with ha lata. See where ha mind at." I huffed.

"You betta nigga. Cause that shit foul. I'm lookin out fa you homie."

"Whatever nigga. Take a seat so Jen could serve. My stomach in my back."

Taking a deep breath, Eli sat at the far end of the table while Donny sat on my left side. You could tell nigga was faded. Wunt nun like a before Thanksgiving dinner smoke. Cause when all that food touched yo tongue, it was like heaven on Earth.

"You ready fa the eats nigga?" He smiled, rubbing his hands together.

"You already know. Smoked a good blunt fo this." I cheesed.

Before I could say anything, someone came sitting next to me. Both Donny and I looked up to see Capri. She'd been drying off her hands and by the look on ha face I could tell she was hongry as hell.

"Hi." She smiled, pecking my cheek.

"Not in front of yo daddy! You want him to murda me a sum?"

"Watch ya self now!" He exclaimed from the far end of the table.

"See!"

"Relax daddy!" Pri laughed, waving him off.

"Yo Don. How bout you come and join me down here?" Eli squinted, folding his arms and sitting back in his seat. "Leave my bro and his girl to they self."

"I'm already comfortable here though E."

"You tryna cock block a sum?!"

"HEY! LANGUAGE!" One of my older aunties shouted. "OH LAWD."

Looking over at Don, I did kind of want him to leave this corner to me and Pri. No hard feelings though.

"I see how it is." He joked, pointing his finger at me. And instead of moving away, he moved right across from us. Directly across Capri to be exact.

Maybe it was just a coincidence.

"Can we switch seats?" She questioned.

Furrowing my brows, I looked over at Don who'd been staring in our direction. Granted, the nigga was faded but I couldn't help but feel like he knew what he was doing.

"Aight. No problem ma." I mumbled, immediately switching seats with Capri. "You okay?"

"I'm good...we'll talk later though. There's something I need to tell you." She whispered.
