"ELLEN, can you treat us in your mall?"

"I want to play in your clubhouse too!"

"Sure! I'll ask mom and dad about that," nakangiti kong tugon sa mga kaklase ko.

"Classmates, do you want to eat salad?"

"I envy you for being so wealthy!"

People around me keep on saying that. I've become known for being influential, so there are many people who wanted to become friends with me.

"Good day, sister!" sigaw namin nang makarating ang madre. Kapag bumabalik kasi si sister, ibig sabihin ay makakalabas na kami ng paaralan!

Hindi ko tuloy maiwasang tumalon. My dad has arrived today from China and he promised me on the phone yesterday that he will be the one to fetch me after school.

However, I've heard about having a special event earlier and I think we're not yet allowed to go home. Nakalimutan kong matatagalan pa pala kami, but I think dad is already outside. Will he still wait for me or does he have many things to do so he'll leave me alone?

I am crying while thinking about that.

"Where is Mary?"

Natataranta akong lumingon sa likuran. Hinahanap ng aking mga mata si daddy.

"Daddy!!!" sigaw ko nang makita siya.

"Are we going home na po ba? We still have a practice eh!" nakanguso kong sabi. Naglilinyahan na ang mga kaklase ko.

I know he's a busy person like mommy and I understand them for being that. They are just working hard to give my needs.

I felt relieved when my dad smiled.

"No, I'm not yet going home because you still have practice. I promised to fetch you today, didn't I?"

"Why are you late po, dad?" tanong ko habang binibihisan niya ako ng bagong damit para sa practice.

"I'm sorry, baby. I wouldn't come here late next time." Napahawak ito sa kanyang ulo. "May inaasikaso kasi ako sa kumpanya bago pumunta rito..."

"Kumpanya po? The one that is a tall building that you said we are the owners po?"

"Yes, baby! Daddy is working hard so when you are 24 years old, you will be working with me... us with your mom!"

Dad kissed my cheeks and said that I am his tagapagmana. I am my mom's tagapagmana too since I'm their only child!

"You didn't take a rest po from the airport?"

"Seeing you makes my tiredness gone, baby!" he kissed my cheeks again.

I almost forgot that I still have practice until Dad reminded me, "baby, go there na! I'll be watching here and do your best, okay?"

"Bye, dad!"

"Okay, Van..."

"I'm here!" I shouted as the nun called my character.

"You look elegant, Mary!" she said while staring at the other nun.

"Ang kutis niya ay para talagang si Maria," the other nun said.

Pinapuwesto nila ako.

"This is Baby Jesus..." pinahawak sa akin ang isang lalaking doll.
