Marella's pov:

We were walking for about 30 minutes now and the sun was turning into a bright orange. But it felt like only five minutes. Nick is very easy to talk with and conversations just keep going without putting any effort in it or awkward silences. He was so much more than just a perfect annoying mommy's boy. He was kind and talented and charming. And he smells amazing.

A really steep hillside showed up. I thought we would turn around or walk somewhere else. But Nick had other plans.
"We're almost there, we just have to climb up here" he said and i raised my eyebrows. "Up there? In a dress?" i asked and he chuckled. "Don't worry, it's not that high so i'll go first and then i'll help you" he said as he started to walk up the hill. It looked very slippery since there were rocks covered in moss everywhere. But Nick was right. It wasn't that high so i'm probably able to climb up there.

"Take my hand" he said and reached his hand out to me. I looked at his hand and then back at him. "Oh come on, i just wanna help" he said and i chuckled. I grabbed his hand and walked up the hill as well. He started to walk towards a cliff and i walked right beside him. He was still holding my hand but i didn't say anything about it. As we reached the edge i saw that it wasn't a cliff. It was a beautiful lake with flowers all around. It almost sounds like a fairytale, it looks like a fairytale.

"Oh wow, it's beautiful" i smiled and started walking towards the lake. Nick walked behind me and led me to a blanket. "Wow how original, a picknick" i said sarcastically. "Hey don't blame me, there's not alot of cute date spots at camp" he defended himself and i smiled. "Don't worry, i love picknicks" i said and he smiled back. "Good, sit down" he said and he pointed to the blanket. I sat down and looked around again. Just taking in the peace of this place.

"How'd you know this existed?" i asked and he shrugged. "I love walking in the forest and one day i just found this" he said as he layed down on the blanket. I looked at his face. He is so beautiful. "Staring is rude" he winked and i rolled my eyes.

"Anyways, i brought food. Don't expect too much. The only thing i could find around camp were sandwiches and donuts" he chuckled and i furrowed my eyebrows. "Why do we have donuts at camp?" i asked and he shrugged. "I think Kurt might have brought them" he said and i chuckled. He offered me a donut and i took a bite out of it. "And they're good too. Why didn't anybody notice we had donuts before?" i asked and Nick laughed. "Kurt hid them pretty well, they were in a drawer with a literal lock on it" "How did you find the key?" "It was laying right on the floor beside it" "Kurt's gonna be pissed" "Who cares? It's Kurt"

We were laying on the blanket and the sun was almost fully set. We ate all the food and Nick was telling about how Will pushed him off the stairs when they were younger.

"So i ran away cause he was litteraly chasing me" he said and i laughed. "Yeah cause you grabbed his car" "Are you on his side?" "No ofcourse not go on" "Alright okay so he was chasing me with a plastic sword and i tried to run downstairs but he poked my back and i lost balance and fell down the stairs and broke my arm. And Will had the audacity to cry and tell my parents that he pushed me out of self defense" he explained and i laughed so hard that my stomach was starting to hurt. "He said self defense?" i wheezed and Nick started laughing as well. "Yeah, he had a great vocabulary for a three year old" he laughed.

"Your laugh is so cute" he said and i smiled at him. "Thank you, i guess" i said and he smiled at me. "What about you? Do you have any fun memories about your family?" he asked and i thought for a second. My smile faded as i soon realised there was only one. "I'm sorry if i said anything wrong i didn't want to-" he rambled as he saw my smile drop. "No it's okay Nick, i have one. It's not as funny as yours but on my fourth birthday, my dad had just left so we were finally able to have some fun. My brother was seven years old and was quite happy that dad was gone. My mom was finally released from a toxic relationship so we went to the beach. My mom just sat on a towel and my brother and i went to the edge of the beach to make a cool castle with a cool moat around it. But we forgot about a thing called tides so when we were finished the half of the castle was in the water and i started crying and my brother couldn't stop laughing. My mom was silently laughing as well trying to comfort me. After that my mom got us ice cream to cheer us up. It was the most fun birthday i've ever had" i smiled thinking back to the time when my brother and i were still close.
