I was out making plays so I could get this shit Ova wit. It was a Friday and I'll be damned if I just be around these mfs all day. I made my last play and made my way back to house

Last night was...interesting. I didn't expect for Promise to be laying in my bed crying. Or just laying there at all but I mean I was doing what I was suppose to be doing. Protecting her when Rico ain around. But seeing her like was crazy, it wasn't just the rain that made her upsets it has to be something deeper and I wanted to ask without stepping over boundaries.

Promise ..Earlier 11:35am

I woke up and felt nothing but emptiness. I opened my eyes and seen august gone. I groaned and got up to use the restroom. I brushed my teeth and splashed my face with cold water. I looked in the mirror and seen my eyes were blood shot red. I'm glad that seniors didn't have to come to school on Friday's if they didn't want to. I wiped my face and went back into the room and checked my phone to see Rico texted me back. I rolled my eyes not even caring to text him back since he didn't care to text me. He knew how I felt when he did that.

I went downstairs and still seen no August. I sighed and went to the fridge to see what I could eat that was quick. I seen nothing that appealed me so I closed the fridge and jumped on the counter and called Dess.

"Hey girl"

"Hey dess"

"What's wrong I can hear it in your voice"

I chuckled softly knowing she knew me like the back of her hands.

"Well I embarrassed myself and cried last night in august arms"

She gasped dramatically

"You want to repeat that bitch" I laughed

"It's a long story" I groaned rubbing my face.

"Welp we both had a long night so how about we all go out tonight" I thought for a moment. Why not?

"Sure"

"Okay I'll be there to pick you up"

"Okay I'll send you his address " Just as I hung up I heard the door unlocked and In coming august.

"Wassup ma. I thought you would still be sleeping" He came to the kitchen and sat a bag of Popeyes down

"Is this all you eat?" I laughed at the excitement on his face as he handed me some food.

"Thanks"

"No problem. Yo brotha asked about you"

I snapped my head in his direction and hopped off the counter

"And what did you say?"

"Calm down I told him I dropped you off at yo friend house cus you lost yo key"

He shrugged and I sighed in relief and ate a tender. I looked at my food and I didn't have fries.

"Hey where's my fries?" I pouted. Popeyes fries was the best fries every in my opinion. Next to McDonald's.
