I had just walked outside to wait on August to come get me. Rico was released from the hospital this morning but they said he shouldn't move at all for a whole 24 hours just to make sure his back is healed completely. I am so thankful that my brother is still here with me. I haven't been that scared since I got a call saying my parents died.

My mind kept drifting off to the prayer Aug's mom made. Her voice just made me miss my mom even more. Being able to hug her and hear her voice whenever I wanted to, to that just being completely stripped away from me. We need our parents more than ever. Everyday my soul aches knowing I wouldn't be able to to share those special moments with my parents anymore. My dad can't walk me down the isle, grill my boyfriend, or spoil his grandkids. My mom couldn't tell me anymore stories, wipe my tears and fix my crown when I couldn't. They are missing out on an amazing daughter and son right now. I was furious, disappointed and all of the above. I needed them.

"So how's Rico?" Jayda asked

"He's doing okay. He just have to sit his big head butt down for 24 hours"

She nodded as Dess came up to us

"I hate this raggedy ass school "

I laughed at her.

"What happened now Dess?"

"This teacher tried to suspend me because I was laughing" I shook my head

"It wasn't my fault thou" she shrugged.

"What happened?" Jayda asked

"So y'all know Trevor, always gotta make a joke right?"
We nodded

"He told Mr. Nard he'll get a wife once he take the toupee off" We laughed waiting for her to continue

"The whole class started laughing then he said the next one to laugh getting suspended"

"And you laughed?"

"Y'all know it's 10 times funnier when the teacher say something like that" I laughed at her as august pulled up.

"Alright I'll text y'all later"

"Okay and get the details ready for your birthday this weekend" I nodded at Jayda as I made my way to the car.

Yes your girl is finally turning 18 on Friday and I couldn't wait. Especially with everything that happened recently I just want to have a good time and enjoy myself. Jayda is making my outfit and I couldn't wait to wear it. I got in the car and put on my seatbelt and leaned over to august to kiss his lips.

"Hey" i pecked his lips

"Wassup" he said focusing on the road.

"Everything okay?" I scrunched my face

"Yeah"

"You sure?"

He nodded his head but I can definitely sense something was wrong. We pulled up to my house and I got out car but Aug didn't.

"You not coming in?"
