I woke up a little agitated at the fact that Rico keeps giving me rules to follow like I was a little kid since I woke up this morning. I don't know what's going on and why I can't go anywhere or do anything but I'm getting tired of it.

"You heard me?" Rico said pulling up to my school.

"Yeah"

"What I say?" He turned to me

"Don't come out the school unless you tell me" I rolled my eyes

"Cool"

"Why do I have to do all this?"

"Because I said so" I rolled my eyes and opened the door

"Ight me or yung will pick you up"

"Can August pick me up?" He scrunched his face at me and I immediately regretted saying anything

"Why the fuck you want yung to come get you? When y'all start being buddy buddy?" I chewed on my bottom lip and tried to come up with something fast

"I might as well be cool with him since he is always around. He's cool" I shrugged trying to not make a big deal out of it while he just stared at me.

"Ight" he glared at me as I got out the car and made my way inside the school.

For it being Monday, I was not feeling it today. I slept okay due to the fact that Aug was on the phone with me but it wasn't like he was there for real. I wanted skin to skin and I was dying inside. He hasn't texted me all day and I texted him good morning. I didn't trip, I'm pretty sure he's busy or something. I went to my locker and got my books out to get ready for my first period.

"Heyy" Jayda said as Dess walked up sluggishly

"Hey. What's wrong with you?"

"Girl I'm sick and ready to go home" Dess said slamming the her locker.

"You just got here. Why didn't you just stay at home?" Jayda asked

"Because my parents wanted me to at least go to school but I'm finna leave. They wouldn't know anyways since they off on a business trip" Dess said taking out a tissue and blowing her nose. Then I thought about something

"Umm can you cover for me after school?" They both looked at me

"For what?" Dess asked

"I want to go over August house after school but Rico been trying to keep me hostage" I rolled my eyes

"Why?" Jayda asked

"I don't know but he's been on my case"

"Wait why are you going to august house?" Dess asked. I bit down on my lip and looked around.

"Well we are kind of in a relationship" I said hesitantly

"Bitch" Jayda gasped

"You serious? When did this happen?" Dess said

"On my birthday"
