"You got everything?" August asked picking up his bags.
I put the last of my things in my suitcase and zipped it up. I did not want to leave but I knew I couldn't stay.
"Yeah" I sighed and grabbed my bag.
We walked downstairs to the living with everyone waiting. I looked at Mama Sheila and she was standing by the door. Today was the day that Mana Sheila was going to make her announcement. I looked over at Jeremiah and he had his bags in his hands.
"I got everything" Jeremiah said looking over at us. I looked at August and he looked a little sad.
"Well Jeremiah, did you enjoy yourself here?" Mama Sheila asked
"Yeah and I wish we didn't have to leave so soon" Jeremiah shrugged
"What if you didn't have too?" August said and Jeremiah looked back at us.
"Huh? So we stayin?" Jeremiah said confused.
"What if I told you, you got to stay here with them?" He smiled and turned to look at her
"I adopted you" Mama Sheila said handing him the papers
"Now you legally apart if the fam woe" Trav said.
"I'm a part of a family?" Jeremiah smiled and looked at Mama Sheila snd she nodded. "You wanted me? Somebody wanted me" he shouted and hugged Mama Sheila.
"Promise you cryin?" August said. I quickly wiped my face
"No my eyes are just leaking" I waved him off and he shook his head. Jeremiah turned around and looked at August
"Wait you staying too?" Jeremiah asked and august shook his head.
"But -but -"
"Hey hey naw. Weon do tears" august said shaking his head. Jeremiah nodded.
"What about Chris, tj, and Rico? What am I gonna do without y'all? Y'all took me in, y'all my big brothers" Jeremiah said
"We still is, and will always be. Remember we family-"
"and Family don't get left behind or forgotten" Jeremiah said I smiled at them.
"Remember dat" august said. I looked at them and they were like August and Malcom all over again.
"I'ma miss y'all" he hugged august and me.
"We are going to miss you too" I kissed the top of his head.
"Wheww man my eyes leakin" Trav said. I shook my head at him and we walked outside
"Don't forget about us bestie" Kay said.
"I could never forget about y'all" I hugged them and they ran to august. I sighed as Chandra came up to me.
"Don't forget to make those goodies useful" she said hinting at my sex stuff. I laughed and hugged her. She was like a big sister I never asked for
