Last night I barely slept. Every time I felt better to go into a deep sleep my mind drifts off on different things at one time. I felt myself having nightmares again and just gave up trying to go to sleep and let my mind wonder to whatever. They only happen when I am worried and sad about something and in this case, everything had me worried. Rico, my parents, Jayda, and school.

Nobody knew about the nightmares but Rico. I got up last night and went into the bathroom and called him and no answer. I knew he wasn't going to answer but it was worth a shot. When I got back into bed, I just cried and cried and acted like I was sleep until it was time to get up and get ready for school.

After I brushed my teeth. I looked up in the mirror and seen bags under my eyes. I didn't even feel like doing my hair so I just put it in a ponytail. I sighed and went back into the room and slipped on some jogging pants and a hoodie since it was a bit chilly outside. I grabbed my shades out my bag since my face looked horrible. I went downstairs and seen August eating some cereal.

"I'm ready" I said lowly

He put his bowl in the sink and grabbed his keys and made his way out to the car. I sighed and walked behind him and got in. I put on my seatbelt as he seated driving and I couldn't keep my eyes open for anything. I rubbed my hands down my face

"Um can you stop by Starbucks?" He looked over at me

"When you start drinkin coffee?"

"Since now. Pull over there"

He pulled up to the window and I leaned over to get closer to the microphone.

"Can I get a large iced caramel coffee with 2 extra shots of espresso?" I yelled.

"That'll be 12.34 pull up to the first window please" the lady said.

He pulled up and looked over at me.

"Why you got shades on?" He scrunched his face and I looked out the window

"Don't worry about it"

"Promi-"

"That's 12.34" the girl said. I reached in my bag and looked for my card

"I got it ma"

"No I can pay" he sighed and I grabbed my card and handed it to him and he gave it to the lady. About a few seconds later she over at us handing my card back.

"Um I'm sorry ma'am but your card declined"

"Can you run it again?" I asked sitting up in my seat. I watched her swipe it again and I waited for her to say something. She started shaking her head and looked in the car.

"Sorry ma'am still not working"

I scoffed and shook my head. I got on my phone and opened my bank app and seen it was frozen with a balance of zero. Rico canceled my card.

"Is there any other way you want to pay?" I shook my head

"I got it" august handed her his card. She headed it back to him with the drink and he gave it to me.
