The Beasts Miko (Inuyasha/Beauty and the Beasts Crossover)

Chapter 21

     Nature's call pulled me out of a sound sleep. I got to my feet and slowly walked towards the door but I heard a liquid hit the floor. I stopped walking and looked down. A clear liquid flowed down my legs, pooling underneath me. My eyes widened when I realized what was going on. I peeked my head out into the living room, hiding behind the cloth door. I could see Mom and Harvey were up, along with Rin. They were going to be the ones to help me. It would seem everyone else was out doing something.

       I searing pain went through my abdomen. I gasped as I curled into the fetal position. I groaned, which made someone walk over to the room. The cloth door was moved and I caught the scent of honey, telling me that it was Harvey standing there. I weakly look up at him, giving him a smile.

       "Sweetheart. It's time." I told him as another contraction went through my stomach. He gasped before he called to my mom and Rin. Harvey helped me over to the mattress, gently placing me down. I did some breathing exercises as a another contraction hit five minutes later.

      Mom came in along with Rin. They had some warm water in a bin and plenty of towels. Mom placed a towel upon the wet spot I made by the door. Then she placed another one underneath my lower half. I panted against Harvey, who was holding me up right. I summoned the things Mom needed before she began to work. Rin stayed by her side, watching her grandmother like a hawk. She wanted to help the females of our family as well when they went through their pregnancies. It would probably help her for her own when she was older. Rin and Mom removed my clothes so they could be washed.

      Mom slipped on a glove, then looked to me. She was giving me a silent warning of what she was about to do. I weakly nodded as she stuck her fingers inside of me. I gasped at the slightly uncomfortable feeling. Harvey's brows furrowed as he watched her do this. Suddenly I felt another contraction hit me just as Mom removed her fingers. Blood slightly coated the white texture. She kept an eye on me as she removed the one glove and started to prepare everything. My breath hitched once more before I did the breathing exercises as I rode through another contraction.

       "Two minutes apart." My mom whispered before slipping gloves on. She silently told me what she was doing again before she stuck her fingers inside. "Your cervix is fully open my dear. When you feel the urge to push, push with all your might."

     I weakly nodded as I leaned into Harvey. I took some short deep breaths as my mind tried to register what was going on. Suddenly another contraction hit, a strong urge to push hit me. I grunted as I bared down and pushed with all my might. I panted as I waited for the next contraction. Once it came, I groaned as I pushed once again. Mom moved my legs apart more as she went in between to catch the little one. I heard a small mew echo in our room. My heart swelled when I heard it. I propped myself up as I watched Mom call Harvey over. She told him to grab the scissors, which he did and then followed my mom's instructions. He cut the umbilical cord off his son. I could see his chest swell with pride at this. Harvey placed the scissors down and came back over to me while Mom and Rin cleaned up the little one. The little dear opened his eyes, revealing blue pools.

      "He looks just like his father." I commented, turning my head to Harvey. He smiled, kissing my temple. Rin was wrapping the little one in a towel when I felt another pushing contraction hit. I groaned as I pushed. My mom came over to me while Rin held onto the little one. I took a break for a minute before I had another wave hit. I pushed hard, making me shout a bit as I pushed. Another mew echoed within the room. Rin placed my first son next to me, then went back to where Harvey and Mom were. Harvey cut the umbilical cord once again and came back to me. Rin and Mom cleaned the little one and wrapped him into a towel.

         We did this two more times before I had to push out the placentas. Four little balls of fur were gently placed to me. Four new lives were in this world and into this family. Rin and Mom collected the things before leaving. I weakly thanked them as they left. Harvey and I looked to our four sons. His eyes full of happiness and pride, his tail reflecting those emotions.
