"Mommy no! Don't let them take me Mommy! I am sorry Mommy, I'll be a good girl."

--------2 HOURS AGO--------

I have probably made the best or worst decision of my life.

Was all that ran through her head as Ellis continued to pack all Meredith's things before Dr. Montgomery comes to take her away for good.

Ellis decided to hand over full custody to Dr. Montgomery. Meaning she won't be allowed any communication towards Meredith not unless she reaches 18 years of age.

His lawyers did all the paperwork, just like he promised, all Ellis had to do was sign them.

In doing this, she would be granting happier lives for both her and her child. Ellis thought that this would be the best thing she's ever done for Meredith.

She'll have a home we're she'll feel loved and happy.

"Meredith!" Ellis called out as she closes the last of her bags.

"Yes mommy?" The little girl came as fast as she could.

She recovered surprisingly very well after. No complications or complaints, it was like she never had cancer.

While at the hospital, Meredith grew to know the man who has been bringing her Jello and pancakes every morning. She calls him "Cappy" saying Captain was too Long a word despite having the same number of syllables.

"Meredith you have to listen to me, you are going on a long vacation, away from mommy. You'll go on a big plane with Cappy. Remember Cappy?"

Meredith just nods

"Well Cappy will be going on a trip with you and you might already forget about mommy in this trip, but that would be okay, because you will meet new people and these people will love you and be kind to you, just like how Cappy has been to you these past few weeks."

Meredith started welling up, she was smarter than kids her age, so she wasn't naive enough to not know that her mother is thinking of taking her away.

Meredith went to hug her mother but Ellis stood up before she could to answer the door.

Ellis opened the door and there he was, "Dr. Montgomery-She's uhm- all packed up and good to go" she says with the coldest expression. The captain just nodded and stepped inside, with two other men to help with baggage.

"Mer-Mer?" The captain called out for her.

"Cappy?" Meredith stepped out of her closet and headed to the suited man before her.

"Hi mer, I presume your mommy already told you why I am here?"

"Mommy says we will go on a trip? Without her" she says with eyes that are still twinkly from crying.

"Yes, that is why we need to get going now, otherwise the plane will go without us." the man owns a jet so there is no way they'll miss their flight, but he's just trying to do this without all the drama that comes with it.

"Mommy no! Don't let them take me Mommy! I am sorry Mommy, I'll be a good girl." Mer cries as the Captain picks her up and caries her out the door while Ellis just looks at her with the cold expression she's so used to wearing.

Seeing this, Meredith knew that this would be last she'll be seeing her mother, so she just accepted her fate and stopped fighting.

----------------IN CONNECTICUT---------------

The plane ride was dull, but Meredith kept herself busy when she asked the captain for a banana and a suture kit.

Despite it being unusual, she was given what was asked and what she was doing to with it impressed the Captain greatly.

"That is an impressive Purse-string Meredith" He says amazed and curious as to what else this 5-year-old can do. Meredith just smiles and carries on.

The plane landed and quickly unloaded their luggage. They drove to the Forbes-Montgomery mansion without wasting time.

"So Mer, this will be your new home for a while, you have your own room and you can decorate it how ever you want." The captain says before stepping out of the car.

Mer had a big smile on her face, she was of course still sad from leaving her whole life to start a new one. But the thought of her decorating her own room still made her happy. After all, she still is just a 5-year-old girl.

As they stepped in the mansion, she was stunned at how big and elegant it was in the inside. But that thought quickly subsided when a blonde short haired woman along side a tall redhead and a brunette came to welcome them.

"Meredith, this will be your family from now on, This is my daughter Addison and son, Archer. They're your big brother and sister. While this beautiful woman is Bizzy, their mother. And you young lady, are a Montgomery now, MEREDITH CATHERINE GREY-MONTGOMERY"

A/N: In this story Bizzy was already with Susan openly since they first got together. She and the captain had a healthy divorce. So everybody was happy in this family.

Addison was 17 while Archer was 19. Addison always wanted a sister, so when the captain called ahead and explained, she didn't take to heart that her father cheated on her mother. After all, they weren't together anymore at the time. Archer wasn't exactly ecstatic about the idea, but Addison helped knock some sense into him so now they're both welcoming their sister with open arms.

"HI Meredith, I'm Addie, Cappy here tells me that you want to be a surgeon" Addison reaches out for her.

"Are you one?" Meredith asks her.

"Not yet but I will be someday. Anyways why don't we go up to your room? There are a bunch of stuff there we could even play surgeon if you want" Addie offered.

Archer, Bizzy, and the Captain couldn't help but smile at the exchange.

Meredith would never forget her mother. But she knows this is good for her, this is where she will be happy.

Would Ellis regret her decision?

Is Meredith really in a good place now?

What do you think of their family setup?

How do we like the story so far?

I said it once, I'll say it again, any and all medical jargon found in this book are not in any way reliable.
