"Hey Addie"

"Oh my God" Addison quickly goes into the room and hugs her little sister.

"Your awake,"

"Seems like it," Meredith chuckles still exhausted.

"So, how are you feeling?" Addison asks but looks at Bailey, who was in the room checking her stats.

"like I've been sleeping for a month"

"Casanova here is trying to get herself discharged by the end of the day," Bailey scoffs.

Addison looks at Mer with a raised brow.

"Come on! I've had my one-month recovery time, now it's time for me to get back to work,". Meredith tries debating.

"Have you forgotten that in that one month, you were in a coma!?" Addison retorts.

"Ok look," Bailey yelps trying to pause the commotion happening between the two. "Meredith, Derek needs to do a full neuro check before we could even consider discharging you. "

Meredith just scoffs as the two doctors just look at her intently.

"Ok Meredith," Derek says as he enters the room. "What year is it today?"

"2023. I just had a benign brain tumor removed a month ago and was in a coma since. I also have a history of Multiple Myeloma, in which I was also diagnosed before I had the tumor," Meredith enumerates in one breath.

"At least we know you're still the overachiever we know and love," Derek comments.

"So, am I ready to be discharged?" Meredith asks.

"Well, it seems like you're officially tumor-free according to these scans," He explains. "Surgical Site seems to be healing nicely."

"Say it, I know you're absolutely dreading to," Meredith smirks with a sly tone.

"You are ready to be discharged-"

"YES! Amy, page Bailey. Those discharge papers are practically begging to be signed-" Meredith squeals.

"Hold on," Derek interrupts just like he was a few seconds ago. "I strongly suggest that you stay here for at least 3 more days. Just to check if any motor functions were affected by your coma. Then after, you have to come back in two weeks for your stem cell transplant."

"3 days?" Meredith asks skeptically.

"Final offer," Derek says

They look at each other for what seems like forever debating the best course of action.

"Fine," Meredith shies away like a little kid losing an argument. "3 days,"

Day 1

"I'm pregnant" Addison announces as she enters Meredith's room

"Really?" Meredith squeals ecstatically,

"Well, at least I think I'm pregnant, I haven't peed on a stick yet," Addie rambles.

Meredith's mood quickly shifts. "Addie-"

"I'm late, and I'm never late,"

"That's what I said, and I ended up just having cancer," Meredith mumbles under her breath.

"What?"

"Pee on a stick Addie," she says sternly.

"Ok," Addison says as she sits on the patient room couch.
