"No."

"NO!?" Everyone yells out.

"No. I have MM, chances of it coming back is through the roof. All that suffering will be for nothing if it comes back," She says reaching for a Jello cup.

"Meredith, are you stupid?" Bailey says blatantly.

"Miranda-" Addison looks at her then Meredith, "But yeah uhm- Are you? Are you stupid?"

"Addie- you can lecture me all you want, but with the drugs in my system right now I wouldn't remember any of it tomorrow,"

"Which is why we shouldn't be discussing this with you right now, we'll talk tomorrow Meredith, in the meantime, you rest," Richard says to put a hold on all this family drama for the night.

"Don't think I wouldn't be calling Connecticut once I leave this room," Addison says and Meredith just rolls her eyes, but then remembers that she still had unfinished business with the Captain.

"Fun," Everyone leaves the room, but Meredith tells Amelia to stay.

"You shouldn't be looking at me right now," Amelia says trying not to make eye contact.

"Amy, why in the world would I do that?" Meredith says with a small smile.

"Oh come on, Meredith! It was my fault you were behind that wheel, you were on your way to see me and I was too blind to even check up on you," Amelia says on the verge of crying. "My point is I should've known, the minute you started looking like a twig I could easily snap, I should have known."

"First of all, it was MY choice to get behind the wheel, knowing full well that I couldn't, I still did. Besides, you did me a huge favor, now, I didn't have to break the news to everybody,"
She holds her hand, "I'm happy you found someone, I am mad though that you didn't tell me her name," She tries averting the attention away from her situation.

"Arizona, Arizona Robbins," Amelia says, which made Meredith's jaw drop wide open.

"ROBBINS!? YOU ARE GOING OUT WITH ARIZONA ROBBINS!?" Meredith all but screams.

"Say it louder, I think there's a guy on the roof in a coma who didn't quite hear you," Amelia says wacking her friend's arm playfully.

"Wow the attendings must have it out for us interns, don't they?" Mer chuckles.

"I guess so, wait a minute- how is that by the way, you and Mark?" Amelia asks and the smile on Meredith's face quickly falls.

"Uhm- we broke up" Meredith takes another spoon of jello and puts it in her mouth.

"YOU BROKE UP WITH MARK SLOAN!?" Amelia screams.

"Well that guy in a coma is awake now," Meredith rolled her eyes.

"You broke up with him? Why?"

"I did it after I found out about the relapse, there's no use in burdening him for no reason," She explains.

"Oh my God- You're in love with him," Amelia drops her jaw like she's solved a hard case.

"I am- Not." Meredith spoons another bite of jello.

"Shut the jello, you SO are," Amelia takes her spoon and rewards herself with a happy scoop of the jiggly snack.

"Shut up and get me another Jello cup," She playfully says, and as Amelia leaves she can't help but grin. Things were going to be just fine.
