Hashirama grabbed his brother's arm and led him back into the office. Madara moved out of the way; once they were in the office, he closed the door behind them. The Senju used his wood style to create a couple of chairs, and they all sat down. Hashirama sat behind his desk; he had Madara sit next to him, while Tobirama sat across from them.

Tobirama sighed heavily, irritated. He knew he had no choice but to have this discussion with the two of them.

"So, what was it?" Hashirama smiled a little. He put a hand on Madara's knee to keep him calm, knowing where this discussion was going.

"As I said, it's about the jutsu I've been developing. . ." Tobirama reluctantly began.

"Right. Was there something worrying you about it?"

He looked at his brother the whole time, ignoring Madara. He continued, "Well, the requirements of the jutsu are. . . Concerning, to say the least. But the result could be useful."

Madara spoke up, "What are the details of this jutsu? For the sake of the village, we must know if it will be a threat."

Tobirama glared at him and said, "I don't trust you with that information."

"Come on, Tobirama. . . We both have to know. Even if you don't tell him, I will. This is clearly serious, and Madara's right - we should be aware of any new jutsu for the sake of the village."

He groaned. "Ugh. . . It's a. . ." He slowly said, "Reanimation jutsu."

Madara's eyes widened, and Hashirama shouted, "HAH!" - the other two looked at him with confusion.

"I knew it! I knew the jutsu you were working on had to do with that! I knew you felt guilty!" Hashirama yelled in excitement.

Tobirama yelled back, "Who in the hell says I feel guilty?"

Madara softly said, looking down, "Why else would you work on a jutsu that brings back the dead?" Thoughts of Izuna were rushing in. . . To see him again would be. . .

Silence fell over the room. Hashirama looked between the two of them - Madara didn't seem to know how to react and was lost in thought. Tobirama seemed embarrassed that his 'secret' was finally out, but he was composing himself well enough.

Hashirama cleared his throat and broke the silence. "So. . . What are these concerning requirements you mentioned?"

". . . It not only requires the body of the deceased, but a living sacrifice - a vessel, if you will." He quickly added, "I haven't tested that yet, but in theory, that's how it would work in its final stage. That's why I came to you, Brother."

Hashirama's chest felt weighed down. He put an arm around Madara and sighed heavily. The Uchiha and Senju looked at each other, contemplating. Madara had a pained look on his face and slowly shook his head. He then looked at his feet, tears coming to his eyes. Hashirama pulled him closer; Tobirama looked away from them in disgust - seeing his brother so close to an Uchiha was disturbing.
