(Recap:". . . I guess. Still, I don't really know how to feel about you all," Mito said.
She pointed to Hashirama and said, "You don't seem too bad, but stupid people are usually annoying."
Hashirama frowned in response to Mito's opinion.
She then turned to face Tobirama, who was still sitting beside her, creating Water Style jutsu. "He doesn't seem too bad either, and at least he isn't stupid. He's more tolerable, if nothing else."
Tobirama didn't bother to look up at her - he was still focused on the jutsu. Still, he responded, "I suppose I can tolerate you, too. For now."
Mito started to smile slightly, then stopped herself. Why the hell did I almost smile?! Whatever. . .
After clearing her head, she turned her attention to Madara. She still didn't dare to look at him directly - instead, she looked over his shoulder.
"As for you. . . I don't like you. I'm pretty tough, but you're scary," she said quietly.
Madara replied, "It takes time to earn my trust. And I will never like you, since you almost came between me and Hashirama. Still, I pity you for having to deal with that Senju for the rest of your life." He nodded in Tobirama's direction.
. . . and we continue :D This is about to spiral out of control 👀
spiral. . . reminds me of Uzumaki by Junji Ito . . . anyway, back to the story!!)
This caused a variety of different reactions - first, Hashirama was surprised, since Madara practically admitted his jealousy out loud. In a public setting, at that!
Next, Mito was slightly confused - based on how Madara and Tobirama were interacting, she thought that they got along pretty well. She couldn't tell if Madara was teasing the younger Senju or if he genuinely didn't like him. The Uchiha seemed pretty serious to her, so she assumed it was the latter, but she was still confused.
Finally, Tobirama glared at Madara and "accidentally" weaved the single hand sign he needed to create a large (NOT mini) Water Style: Water Dragon jutsu. As soon as Hashirama noticed him weaving a hand sign, he went into sage mode. He was worried that this was escalate to a full-on fight between his brother and Madara, so he wanted to be prepared to stop them just in case. Still, he didn't have enough time to actually use a jutsu to stop Tobirama's Water Style.
This wasn't a problem for Madara, since even without using the Sharingan, he anticipated Tobirama's actions and offhandedly countered the jutsu with a Wind Style jutsu (not Fire Style, since he didn't want to burn the building down).
However, using Wind Style had consequences - it basically just redirected the water in Hashirama's direction. Hashirama quickly created a wood wall in between Madara and Tobirama to prevent them from doing anything else, and a dome wall around himself to protect the Hokage cloak that he was wearing. It took so long to make, so he didn't want it to get ruined.
This was successful. . . Kind of. The robe was dry and there was a barrier between Madara and Tobirama, which was the goal. The wall between them ran diagonally across the table, separating Tobirama and Mito from Hashirama and Madara. However, Hashirama forgot that he was in sage mode, so he accidentally overdid the jutsu - a lot. He ended up creating a huge wall that broke through the roof of the restaurant, and of course, their table was destroyed. As a side effect of using sage mode, several trees were also surrounding the table.
