The Hokage was pissed - the elders were already irritating him, and this was only his first official day on the job. He shouted, "Later - this is a bad time!"
The knocking persisted, and finally, Madara could tell it was really bothering the Senju. He got up and stomped over to the door, removing the wood style barrier, and flung it open. He was face to face with the Senju elders.
He said in a dark voice, glaring at them with his Sharingan, "The Hokage said this was a bad time. Unless you would rather face me?"
The elders stared at him with half anger and half fear. "Fine. We'll be back in precisely one hour."
Madara smirked. "The Hokage has other engagements for the rest of the day. I am afraid that you will have to return tomorrow." He slammed the door in their faces and sat back down next to Hashirama. The Senju just stared at him in surprise and admiration.
"What is it, Hashirama?"
He laughed nervously, "Nothing, it's just. . . It took me half an hour to get them to go away, but you shut them up in a second. Thank you, I don't think I could deal with them right now." He scratched his head, "I guess you're scary even to the elders, Mada!"
"Good. Their old-fashioned tactics bore me. . . I would rather not deal with them. Not to mention their obvious hatred of me."
"They'll come around over time. Anyway. . . What do you want to do? We should take a little break. . ." Hashirama asked.
Madara smiled slightly and teased, "You already are giving up?"
"No way, we should just take a break, that's all! We've had a rough day, and it's practically over anyway, so we should probably call it a day. . ." He looked outside the window to see that the sun was about three quarters through the sky. It was probably too early to be calling it a day. . .
"Pfft, the sun has not even set," Madara laughed. "I suppose it is your decision, though. . . But do not blame me when the village is falling apart."
"Hey! I promise I'm not slacking off," Hashirama pouted. "It's just been a rough day! Now. . . How about we stop for inarizushi? I know it's your favorite. . ."
"How in the hell do you know that?! Do you obsess over me in your free time?"
Hashirama held up his index finger and began, "Well, actually-"
Madara quickly shook his head and yelled, "Don't answer that!"
Hashirama laughed. "I don't know, it's just something I've picked up on, I guess. . . Anyway, let's go! Hokage's orders."
"DAMN YOU!"
Hashirama left a wood clone in the office, then grabbed Madara's hand and dragged him behind him. He didn't even bother to close the door, and he ran through the hallway and out the door before anyone could stop them.
Madara protested the whole time, yelling, "Let go of me!" He held onto the cloak that Hashirama gave him tightly to make sure he didn't drop it or let it get blown away.
Hashirama stopped abruptly in front of a small restaurant. This sent Madara flying forward; Hashirama flung his other arm - he was still holding Madara's hand - in front of him to prevent him from falling any further.
Madara straightened himself and let go of Hashirama's hand. He cleared his throat and looked away, blushing a little. "Why are you so reckless, fool?"
The Senju just laughed and responded, "Hey, if I didn't make a break for it, we'd never get out of there. . . Now, let's go! It's on me!"
Madara smiled a little and shook his head, muttering, "Stupid Senju. . ."
