Hashirama wiped his forehead and sighed heavily, leaning back in his chair. He had just finished dealing with the elders - they were not happy about his decision to make Madara Co-Hokage. He had to argue with them for half an hour just to get them to shut up, and only then did they leave. He was exhausted - at least he was able to catch a break for a few minutes. He opened a drawer in his wooden desk and pulled out a bottle of sake; after looking around the room to make sure he was alone, he poured himself a glass, then took a long drink from the bottle.
"Damn. . . This sucks," he muttered to himself. Just as he put the bottle away, the door opened.
Hashirama quickly sat up and said frantically, "Come in, what is it?"
He sighed in relief when he saw it was only Madara. He stood up and stretched a little, "How's it going on your end, Mada?" He crossed the room to close the door behind the Uchiha.
Madara looked at the Senju standing in front of him - he could tell he was exhausted (and he could smell the sake). He walked over to the desk, saying, "Well, I have been busy, and it seems you have been drinking." He bent over the desk and picked up the glass disapprovingly.
Hashirama scratched his head. "Hah. . . Sorry. This is just a lot more tough than I thought it'd be. . . But how are you doing?"
Madara set the glass back down and turned around. He was alarmed by the Senju's close proximity - when he was bent over the desk, Hashirama had apparently moved behind him. When he turned back around, Hashirama was only inches away from him. He put his hands on the desk on either side of Madara, trapping him. Madara sat on the desk to try to put some distance between them. He blushed and looked off to the side.
Hashirama smirked at him for a moment, then sat beside him. "Ugh. . . Hopefully I don't break this, hah. . . I'm not worried about you, because you hardly weigh anything but I'm heavy," he laughed.
The desk creaked slightly under their weight as if to prove his point.
"Eh, it'll be fine. . ." The desk creaked louder. "Shit, fine, I'll move," Hashirama laughed. He got off of the desk, then moved to sit in his chair, which was behind Madara.
Hashirama gave him a forewarning, not wanting to startle him. "I'm gonna sit behind you, if you want to turn around. . ."
Madara moved his legs around to the other side of the desk, facing Hashirama. He moved some papers and the glass of sake out of the way.
"Everything is going smoothly. You need to get another chair," Madara commented. He continued, "I am currently gathering intel on the skills of potential ANBU and shinobi - we need to get the defensive forces of the village ready as soon as possible. A basic shinobi force is critical right now. . . The ANBU will take more time to find skilled enough members."
Hashirama nodded. "Good. Speaking of, the academy should be ready to start tomorrow, and some volunteers who I've evaluated and approved are standing temporary guard. I've planned some events already for the villagers, and all of the necessities are in order. . . The elders are being a pain in the ass, but I'm managing. . ." He added sadly, "So much paperwork. . ."
