(Teeny tiny recap: Madara put Mito under a genjutsu. . . let's continue now!!)
In Madara's genjutsu, he was standing across from Mito in a strange, barren realm. The only thing that was visible was a dark red full moon shining above them and Madara's eyes.
"How about now?" Madara said.
Mito replied, "This is nothing. Don't underestimate me."
"I would not be so sure of that. This is not an ordinary genjutsu - only I have this ability."
After he said that, the scene around them changed. Everything was in black and white; a run-down shack appeared before them. It was completely covered with dead vines, and the roof had caved in. A river ran near it, but it was almost entirely dried up. The grass and plants surrounding the shack were dead. The only thing that remained the same was the red moon above them.
Mito said, "Who cares, it's just a genjutsu. Let me guess, you want me to go in that shithole?"
"Do whatever you want. It won't matter, anyway," Madara said.
When Mito stepped inside the shack, the rotted floor collapsed under her, and she fell through.
As she fell through, the scene changed again. This time, she was falling through a bright red sky, heading straight for the crimson ocean below. The moon was still present.
"Shit," Mito said, preparing to hold her breath. She collided with the water at a high speed, resulting in sharp pain all over her body.
Damnit. . . I broke my bones. I can't swim now! she thought to herself. Why the hell can't I break this genjutsu?
She was submerged underwater for what felt like an eternity. Her lungs burned from the lack of breath, and her broken bones caused her excruciating pain.
What the hell. . . I should've. . . Died already!! Why is this taking so long? She thought to herself.
This went on for so long that she was certain months had passed by. Finally, her eyes closed and she was engulfed in darkness.
When she regained consciousness, she found herself falling through the very same bright red sky, towards the same deep red ocean, with the same merciless moon reflecting its light off of the water.
As she fell, she tried everything in her power to break the genjutsu, but nothing worked - she couldn't even infuse chakra! She braced for impact, knowing there was nothing she could do.
The process repeated, but this time, she was panicking.
How the hell am I going to get out of here?!? Damn. . . I hate to admit it, but this jutsu. . . It's undefeatable. Damnit!!
