3rd person's POV
"So, I was right to be jealous then, huh?""W-What?" They said, taken aback.
Anne felt a little bit of regret, but it was too late, she had already said it and couldn't take it back.
"Why are you acting so surprised? You didn't act that way when you two were kissing."
"What— Anne, what's gotten into you—"
"So I'm suddenly the bad one for calling you out?"
It went silent as Anne let out a heavy sigh.
"I understand though, I don't have any right to be jealous, but damn, you two make me crazy." She admitted.
They gaped at her, as they realized what she was trying to say.
"You like me?!" They both said.
"Thought that was obvious." She chuckled.
"But that doesn't matter."
"What—"
"So, be honest, are you guys together now?" She asked.
Even though she had asked a question, she didn't wait for their response as she sighed.
"I know it's a little— Well, actually, it's really selfish, but you ever wonder if things had went differently how much would've changed?"
"But... To be honest, I'm not mad you guys are together, because you're just being true to your feelings... And you two are cute together after all."
They had flushed red, but tried to correct her.
"Anne—"
"Wait! I'm not finished."
It went silent but Anne shook her head.
"I wish you the best, but uh, I'll probably need some space because seeing the girls you like kiss is not fun."
Their faces fell in guilt and Marcy spoke up.
"Uh— we kissed, yeah, but we're not dating."
"What? But—"
"She's right, but we also didn't know you liked us..."
Anne chuckled and said. "Really? I thought I made it really obvious."
"Well— I don't think so, but maybe you did and we just didn't catch on."
Anne smiled but it quickly faltered.
"So, you guys like each other but I also like you."
We also like you—
"You should just all date!"
They looked towards the direction of the voice, only to see Sprig there and he quickly said. "I'll leave now."
And he did, but it went silent after that, as they blushed at the possibility.
Us all dating? But there's three of us, is that possible?
Sasha sighed, still refusing to admit she liked the brunette.
"What if I want Marcy to myself?"
Anne scoffed and said. "Well, then that'd be selfish because it wouldn't be considering what she wanted."
"Oh, real mature, talking about selfishness."
"Well, it's true!"
They started arguing as Marcy stared with wide eyes, and tried to get between them.
"Guys! Stop!"
They continued bickering though, pointlessly too, until Marcy pushed them apart.
She was about to say something, but someone beat her to it.
"You three need to stop fighting and make out alread— hmph!" Polly said, but got cut off once Sprig slapped his hand onto her mouth.
"Polly, shut up, they need their privacy!" He said and dragged her away.
Once they left, there was newfound silence, this time it was uncomfortable, as Sasha and Anne glared at each other.
Marcy groaned in annoyance, but pushed Sasha back gently.
"C'mon lets go, you'll have to calm down."
Sasha sighed but nodded, and left the house without saying goodbye.
Marcy winced at that but turned back to Anne.
"Sorry... Uh, we'll be back tomorrow to sort it out, kay? Bye!"
She quickly left behind Sasha as Anne sighed.
This was more complicated than she'd thought it be, which only meant one thing.
She needed to sleep to avoid it, so that's what she did.
To be continued...
