Chapter 11: The Legend

"You're confusing the poor girl!" Ally hissed at Xavier.

She was right, I was confused.

"Let's eat, com-" Luke started to say but I interrupted.

"What's a mate?" I asked.

"We can get to that another time, let's eat I'm starving." Jules says, and I notice the tension in the room.

"Okay..." I trail off, I'll try again later.

We ate for awhile, I -of course- stayed silent. I didn't know how to react. I was in a room full of strangers, who -by the way- either know I'm kidnapped or help kidnapped me, and he -of course- was the one who had done it. I didn't know what to do, for the fact that the life I knew I left. The life I was suppose to have- was taken from me.

When it was time to leave, I said my goodbye's. I spent most of my time thinking. I'm surprised I didn't have a panic attack.

I put Xavier's hoodie back on, the rain had stopped, I was walking next to Xavier, it was dark and I could see the stars illuminate the night sky. We walked in awkward silence until I finally spoke up.

"What's a mate?" I asked.

"Ah- so you haven't forgotten." he chuckled.

"Can you please answer my question?! I'm here, you took me, kidnapped me, so can you please start answering my fucking question?!"

He gawked at me, eyes wide, he was surprised at my little out-burst.

"Centuries ago, when the earth was formed-" he stopped walking "a pair of twins were born, however they were sick. Their father, he didn't know what to do, his wife was barren, and it was a miracle they conceived at all. They were born during the harvest moon. The parent's pleaded with the villagers, but no one knew how to help. So the mother took her kids to the cliff, the highest one she could find, and she lied her two small two week old babies on the grass, if front of the moon. She prayed, she didn't know to who or what; but she begged for help from anyone who would listen. It is said that a women came down from the sky, she helped the grieving mother to her feet, and she picked the small infants up and held them. She told the mother:

'You are asking for a miracle, so I shall give you one. Your children shall be a new being, they world be stronger, and faster than anyone before, however they shall never be whole until they shall find their soul mate. There are other's like them, I shall create them. The one price there will be is- they have to live in secret for they shall turn into, for most will think of them-as nothing but- a beast. They Shall transform to a large strong wolf.'

And that my-dear mate-is how came to be, what I am, and you are the other part of me."
