Jason and I walked down the steps of the wolf house. I mourned quietly with Jason for as long as we could, but the clocking was ticking.

We would know, since Gwen wouldn't stop pacing back and forth, muttering to herself, "Clock is ticking, we need to go. But Jason needs to cry, but we need to go."

Once we made it to the bottom of the steps, Gwen gave Jason a big hug. "How are you doing?" She asked.

"I'm fine. Just-"

"Good!" Gwen cut him off. "Sorry Jason, don't mean to be insensitive but-" she rapidly tapped her watch. "Clock is ticking! We need to go."

"Where did you get the watch?" I asked. Taking note it was 6:45 PM.

Johnny raised his hand while he chewed on a piece of beef jerky. "My bad. Didn't think she would start panicking like that."

Gwen turned to Johnny. "Panicking? Of course I'm panicking! You were a part of legion, you know what it's like to be late."

Johnny shrugged and chewed some more beef jerky. He scratched his big belly. "I'm not anymore."

Jason and I surged forward, salivating over the piece of jerky he was eating. "Do you have any more of that?" I asked.

Gwen pulled us by our ears. "NO. As your centurion, I order you two to fall in line."

Jason groaned. "But we haven't eaten in..."

We both looked at Gwen, she was aggressively pointing at her watch. We sighed, falling in line as we were taught in Camp Jupiter, with Jason standing in front of me. "Yes, ma'am" we said in unison,

"Good," Gwen sighed. "We need a way to get back to New Rome stat. Scipio isn't to far off, she went off grazing. We get her to fly us to New Rome with her super speed Pegasus powers and then-"

I raised my hand. Gwen scowled. "You didn't just raise your hand, did you?"

I shrugged, leaning to the left to get a better look at her. Since Jason was slightly taller then I was. "I need to say something."

Gwen scowled even harder. "What did I teach you during your first drill run in Camp Jupiter?"

I dropped my arm. "I can't speak unless-"

"SPOKEN TO. Yes that's right." Gwen responded.

Jason stepped forward. "Gwen, I get your panicking here, but this isn't helping and is arguably wasting more time."

Johnny burped. "Yeah he's right."

Gwen threw her hands in the air. "I guess this centurion badge doesn't mean anything right-" she tapped her shirt a few times. "Where's my badge?"

"You lost it during the fight." I responded back.

Gwen started hyperventilating. "Oh my gods. I lost it!? They are totally going to-"

I stepped forward and slapped her. "Get a grip, it's going to be okay."

Gwen started tearing up. "But, but-"

I gave her a hug. "Look we are all scared and nervous and blah blah blah, but panicking isn't going to help."

Gwen pulled away and wiped her tears. "I'm such a bad centurion."

Before we could consul her, we heard the sounds wolves snarling and barking near by. I immediately unsheathed my sword, Jason flipped our coin and caught our javelin and Gwen summoned her bow from her necklace. Johnny stood behind us and ate his jerky faster.

From the bushes ahead, appeared a massive wolf. In the wolves golden bloody mouth was the leg of Lycaon, desperately trying to claw and snap at it while he hung helplessly. The wolf turned her head and tossed him in front of us.
