"Hey- OW!"

On the floor in front of me was a tall guy in golden plated armor. I had punched him in the face as I was walking out of the bathroom. My heart rate had skyrocketed and my fist were tight, ready to swing again. The guy started to stand up, his back towards me. For a second I thought he was Jason, judging from the blonde hair. Then he stood up straight and I realized he was much taller then Jason.

The guy turned around and I recognized him as being Ben, one of the soldiers who accompanied John last night and the guy who single handily destroyed all of the Stymplain birds.

"What do you want?" I asked him. I dug my hand into my left pocket, feeling Jason's coin appear there.

Ben glanced down and placed his hand on his sword. "This doesn't have to end in a fight. I've come here with a request."

I stared at him, waiting. He slowly dropped his hand against his side and exhaled. "John has requested a personal meeting with you."

"I don't get the sense this is a request," I pulled my hand out of my pocket, but held Jason's coin in my palm.

Ben grinned. "Well when I was talking to him it sounded like an order, but at the end of the day it is a request. You are not an official member of the legion nor a citizen of New Rome, so John doesn't have any authority over you."

I smiled. "Great, then I politely deny your request."

I attempted to walk past him, but he stepped in front of me. "I'd figured you say that. While you may not be an official member, you are definitely a guest. So you can come with me or try your luck out in the mortal world."

I gritted my teeth, the last thing I needed was to get kicked out now. I haven't even seen what it was like outside of these walls yet. "Alright, lead the way."

When Ben and I stepped out of the hospital, I had my first look at New Rome. The view was extraordinary, like nothing I had ever seen before. I used to think Circe's island was the closest thing to paradise I would ever be apart of. New Rome made her Island look like a vacation home.

Just before I could even process what I was seeing, a massive elephant blocked my view and nearly gave me a heart attack. The elephant reached out its trunk too me and I scrambled away. Ben did his best to hide his grin.

"This is Hannibal. Hannibal this is Reyna." Hannibal trumpeted loudly. I couldn't tell if he was displeased or excited to meet me.

"Hannibal!!!!"

As I stood up I turned my attention to two armored demigods running towards us. They both wore the same standard outfit, purple shirt and blue jeans with a golden breastplate. Running on the right was a young girl with dark brown hair and skin. On the left was a rather chubby guy with curly black hair and a tanned complexion. He seemed a little older, about fifteen or sixteen.

The girl stopped between the elephant and I and the guy collapsed next to me, breathing heavily. The girl started yelling at Hannibal, moving her arms around like crazy as she spoke. "Hannibal! For the last time, I told you not to go running off like that! You better have a good explanation mister!"

Hannibal covered his eyes with his ears, infuriating the girl even more. "Hey! You better look at me!"

The boy that collapsed next to me sat up and pulled a small flask from his back pocket. "Oh just give him a break, Lelia. If I were him, I would get sick of being told to do the same formation over and over again too."

Lelia turned towards him. "Don't you try and defend him. This upcoming war games will be his first and he needs to make his mommy and daddy proud. Plus, Sam put us in charge of training him and I'm not going to let him down!"
