*Hi, I'm back. Figured I wrap this story up. Enjoy. :)
When the lightning bolt hit our javelin and ricocheted in a million different directions, time slowed down. Like super slowed down. Like, it felt like three years had past slow down.
Okay, I'm exaggerating, but that's what it felt like to me after being spun around a vortex more times then my last two brain cells needed.
However, despite my intense urge to vomit, connecting with Jason seemed to wash all the Nausea out of my system.
The bolts of lightning struck every venti in its Vicinity. Some exploded into dust. Others were blasted into the dirt. Dylan, holding me from the back of my neck, released his grip and was blown into the forest below.
I fell to the dirt, rolling to negate the impact and on to my feet. Jason was already by my side.
"That just stunned the stronger ones." Jason said. "By the way, don't look behind me, or you'll-"
"Be turned to stone, yeah I know." I cut him off. He smirked at me. The vortex that had formed around us disappeared as quickly as it appeared. However, the winds seemed to direct themselves around the two of us. Bending to Jason's will. His eyes glowed electric blue with a bright purple outline, a beautiful visual indication of our connection.
........ Did I say beautiful? I meant cool. Yeah we looked cool.
"Don't worry about me half bloods." Medusa shouted from somewhere behind. "I'll stay out of sight. I want to see how this plays out."
I wasn't exactly reassured by this. But through our connection, I could feel Jason's resolve building. He genuinely trusted this monster who has killed more demigods then we could possible know. We would need to talk about that once we were done here.
"YOU SON OF A $@:$,!(@;" Shouted Dylan.
I didn't think you needed to here everything Dylan screamed, so I took the liberty of censoring it out.
He materialized in front of us, his body crackling with lightning. His eyes sparking with hatred and contempt.
Jason stepped forward, his stance similar to wrestler about to drop and go for the takedown.
"We don't have to do this Dylan. I don't want to fight you. Just tell us who the spy is and who they work for." Jason even softened his stance to appear less aggressive. This guy really was too forgiving.
Dylan didn't even respond, his eyes said everything. He wanted to rip us a part. The venti that survived the blast materialized around him, their winds rapidly spinning around them similar to ours. I counted at least a dozen, maybe more hiding in the dirt and leaves spiraling in the wind.
"Please," Jason pleaded one more time.
"KILL HIM." Dylan shouted. Three venti sped toward us. But before they could reach us, three arrows suddenly sprouted from their head and they burst into dust.
"HA, TRIPLE KILL!" Gwen appeared next to me, three more arrows already notched into her bow held by her left hand and my sword held in her right. "Your gonna need this Jason."
She tossed it to Jason , but the winds blew it back to me. I caught it with my left, understanding Jason's intent. Jason readjusted himself to the wrestler stance. His eyes were fierce and he showed his teeth. Lupa's influence on him was clear when he was angry. His body crackled with lightning.
"If your not going to work with us, fine. But if you think your going to hurt my friends, your going to have to do it over my dead body." Jason snarled.
