"Everything okay?" I asked Reyna when she entered the room.

Justice had taken me back to the hospital after my tour, to go through one more check up before fully releasing me. She mentioned how war games would be taking place the day after tomorrow and she wanted me to be apart of that. Justice had requested for Gwen to return and be the one to clear me, though Gwen didn't seem to thrilled about it.

"I have a life, Justice." She had told her.

Justice shrugged. "Well if it's a problem, I'll just ask Ben, I hear he is a great healer."

Gwen took the bait hook, line and sinker. When Reyna stepped into the room, Gwen was wacking my knee with a small hammer to test my reflexes.

"Everything is far from okay." Reyna plopped herself on her chair next to my bed and sighed loudly. Gwen looked between the two of us and then glanced at the clock above the door.

"Well, it's getting pretty late." Gwen stood up and gathered all of her tools to put them away. "I should get going. I'll process the paper work and you should be officially cleared tomorrow morning. We'll have to figure out what to do with both of you after that. We don't normally have demigods who've been under our care for so long that haven't joined the legion. Sounds like..... another thing for me to do tonight."

Gwen rubbed the sides of her head, clearly stressed. "Gwen, thank you so much for taking care of me. I owe you big time."

Gwen sighed. "Don't mention it, I'll probably see the both of you tomorrow morning, so goodnight."

Gwen shut the door behind her before we could say anything back, leaving Reyna and I alone. Reyna and I locked eyes with each other. I felt a surge of giddy ness building up inside of me.

"This place is amazing!" I said gleefully.

"Meh," Reyna responded.

"Meh? What does that even mean?" I asked her.

Reyna shrugged, settling into her chair. "It means that it's not all that."

My eyes widen. "Did Ben blindfold you when you stepped out of the hospital?"

Reyna pursed her lips, which made her flinch. The stitches on her lip had yet to be removed. "The place is beautiful, I'm not denying that. It's just, Ben didn't exactly show me the bright side of New Rome. I didn't get a tour of the Camp or the city. I went from a mildly annoying experience to a downright depressing one."

I frowned. Reyna had no idea what she was missing. "Well maybe tomorrow, after we are officially members of the legion, I could give you a proper tour."

Reyna didn't look at me. "That's assuming I want to stay."

"Uh, What? What do you mean your not staying?" I was baffled she would even say that.

Reyna still didn't look at me. "While New Rome may seem like a perfect paradise, it's not. Something is going to happen, something bad."

"Could you explain?"

And explain she did. Reyna told me about what had happened in the graveyard. Some low life decided to ruin the graves of former Roman soldiers. She described the crude symbol of two scythes bent to form a circle.

"I've seen that symbol before, in a dream. That can't be a coincidence. With John telling me that the number of active members at an all time low, I can't help but feel like something bad is going to happen." Reyna explained.

I was reminded of the shortage of weapons that the camp had also been suffering from. If someone were to attack New Rome, now would definitely be the time to do so. "Okay, maybe we should be worried about an impending attack. Even still, I think the benefits far out way the risks. We won't have to constantly watch our backs for monsters chasing us and no longer having to struggle to find food. I could even receive the training I need. We should stay."
