Why do all these monsters want me dead?
I held back the winds that this wind spirit shot forth with all my might. Tables flipped over and trophies flew across the room. I thought regular winds were hard to contain, but this was something else. Winds don't like to be constrained and naturally will fight to be free. These winds however were as chaotic as this monster. They actively searched for weak points in my defense, trying to blow me away.
"I can't...... hold him back for long." I manage to say. Reyna dug into her left pocket and pulled out my coin. She flipped the coin and it transformed into my sword.
Wait........ Why does she have my coin? I could of sworn I had it in my pocket a minute ago.
"I need to get close to him," Reyna yelled over the winds. "Push back!"
I tried to ask her if she wanted to try and hold these winds back, but I just couldn't be bothered. I shook my head, hoping she would get the message.
"Yes you can! I told you I've got your back!" Her eyes glowed purple and a surge of strength passed through me. I yelled at the top of my lungs and thrust my hands forward. I redirected some of the winds back towards the monster, Dylan was his name apparently, hoping to blow him away.
"Oh? Jason Grace, I figured you could do more then just shield yourself against my winds. How pathetic you must feel having to borrow strength from another!" Dylan flapped his wings and the winds came rushing forward.
I struggled to push the winds back, but they were too much. Even with Reyna's help. I kept trying to think of something to do, something that could bail us out. Then something occurred to me.
"Think....... of...... something......."
Reyna turned to me and threw up her hands. "What do you want me to do? The winds are too much, if I step away from you I'll go flying!"
"...... and......... clap your....... hands."
Reyna looked confused. Then her eyes lit up as she realized what I was thinking. "Do you think it'll work? I'm not Johnny."
I wanted to shrug, but I could barely stand at this point. My only response was a groan.
"Alright....." Reyna took a second to think and then clapped her hands twice.
"Enjoying the show?" Dylan asked. "Any minute and you will be-"
Dylan was cut short when a massive boulder came down from the ceiling and crushed him. The winds died down and I collapsed from exhaustion.
"A boulder?" I asked while trying to catch my breath.
Reyna shrugged. "I was just thinking about the backpacks that fell from the ceiling, so I just asked the room if it could drop something heavy."
"Ooooooooooooooh, my head."
Reyna and I turned to Johnny, he was pulling himself out of a pile of medals and trophies. Reyna rushed over to help him out, while I tried my best to get on my feet.
"What happened?" Johnny asked. Reyna helped him balance on the wall. Reyna looked winded herself having to pick him up.
"A wind spirit came and threw- er- rolled you to the wall. Jason and I managed to stop him."
"I WOULDN'T BE SO SURE ABOUT THAT!"
I felt an air current rising from the boulder. The winds concentrated on a single point at the center of the room next to the statue and Dylan reformed. Looking a lot meaner then before. Lightning crackled from his body.
