"You are going to tell me what happened."
I had Jason cornered against the wall. We were outside the armory. A long line had formed for demigods trying to receive their weapons for war games. Since supplies were low, the armory had to lend the campers weapons and were expected to be returned by the end of the day. If they weren't, your punishment would be to clean Hannibal's droppings for six months. Jason and I were about to get in line when I decided to interrogate him.
"I I I I Uh don't uh know what your Uh talking about." Jason said.
I titled my head to the side. "Oh really? I guess I must have been dreaming when I saw you and Gwen come to the barracks so late. And what about you slowly climbing up our bunk bed and almost slipping? Must have dreamed that too."
Jason sighed loudly. He looked around and then started reaching his arms out in different directions as if reaching for something. "What are you doing?"
Jason leaned in close to me. "I've figured out that when a lare is around, it gets kind of cold. The colder it gets, the more likely your standing in a lare."
I looked around nervously. "Is their any around us now?"
Jason shook his head. "Nope, were good."
"Alright, spit it out."
Jason sighed. "Reyna........... they talked to me about the stuff that's been going on in the last few days. They...... Uh...."
I looked over my shoulder. "They interrogated you?"
Jason pursed his lips. "What does that mean?"
I rolled my eyes. "What books did you read at the library? It means that you were questioned for information."
"Oh....... well yeah. And I only ever read animal books. I didn't move on to the human stuff until recently." Jason said.
I stepped back from Jason. "So they don't trust us. Great. Are they going to ask me any questions?"
Jason sctrached his head. "I..... don't know."
I crossed my arms. "Jason, you're a horrible liar."
Jason exhaled. "I know. Just.... trust me on this. Something is about to go down soon and we need to be ready. When that time comes.......... just do what you feel is right."
I was about to put him into an arm bar to get him to talk, before we were interrupted by Ben and a camper I recognized. "Hey you two. Shouldn't you both be in line to register for your weapons?"
Jason and Ben sized each other up, as they seem to always do. Even if the height disparity was pretty large, Jason didn't back down. The camper that had been with Ben stepped between the two of them. The camper looked at Ben and they seemed to have a silent conversation.
"Right. Anyways, Reyna," Ben turned to me. "I need to talk to you, personally."
I blushed. Jason looked between the two of us. "What for?" He asked.
Ben turned back to Jason. "I did say personally, did I not?"
"Ben....." The camper that joined Ben put his hand on his chest and pushed back lightly.
Ben swiped his hand away. "Reyna, follow me. Max, make sure our friend here registers for a weapon."
Ben stormed off, forcing me to jog to catch up to him. I glanced back at Jason, who was still giving Ben a dirty look. When I caught up to Ben, he had been waiting just around the corner of a cafe shop.
"You wanted to see me?" I asked him.
Ben leaned towards me, speaking in hushed tones. "What did Jason tell you?"
