rantaro amami:

and i mean tell me rn /srs

angie yonaga:
WHERE ARE YOU

rantaro amami:
just left the school, i'm near the bus hub

angie yonaga:
where's shinguji

rantaro amami:
the white haired kid took him

angie yonaga:
holy shit omg

rantaro amami:
the kid's name is keebo apparently
and he has a gun
he took korekiyo and now he's after me
with the gun
oh and he threatened to kill the bio teacher

angie yonaga:
with the gun?

rantaro amami:
with the gun.

angie yonaga:
ok, yk that really big clothing store on the corner near the end of the bus station?
across the street from the zara?

rantaro amami:
yeah

angie yonaga:
it has like a bajillion floors, take the escalators and go to the top floor which should be the kid's section
it's easy to hide behind the gigantic displays they have up there
also keebo cant enter the store with a gun

rantaro amami:
thank you so much

angie yonaga:
np, i'll meet you there and take you to the crystal shop. my boss doesn't mind if i let my friends come into the staff room. then you can calm down and tell me what happened, ok?

rantaro amami:
yeah totally, brb gotta jaywalk

this is a transition

when angie reached the top floor of the store, she immediately began looking around for rantaro. eventually, she found him hiding next to the cash register.

"hello," rantaro whispered, still catching his breath from running all the way there.
angie smiled. "hiya. i hope you're ok."
he nodded.

angie was aware that rantaro didn't talk much, and assumed that his nodding meant he was okay.

"how about we, um- check out this store before heading down to the crystal shop? since we're here, why not?," angie suggested, trying her best to take rantaro's mind off of, well, the whole kid-with-a-gun-kidnapping-korekiyo-and-chasing-him-down-the-street thing.

"this store. . . boring. a different store. . . would be better," rantaro whispered. "good idea."

"then let's head down to that big fancy rich kid store in the square!," angie cheered.

thus, the two walked down the street and into a gigantic, fancy store. their spirits were high.
and so were the prices in the store.

( the author is european so the prices will be in euros )

50 euros for sunglasses, 2,000 for a handbag- this was your basic rich kid store and there was nothing that could change that.
besides a decline in the stock market.

angie grabbed a shirt off of one of the store's clothing racks.
it smelled like old spice and mold, but it cost 350 euros- and that was one of the cheapest shirts on the rack.

"haha, i feel very poor right now!," angie exclaimed.

rantaro grabbed a shirt and laughed at the price listed. "500. . ."

they continued to look through shirt prices.

eventually, angie piped up. "so, um, what happened at school?"

"um. . . the boy, keebo, he was threatening the teacher. . . and then he found us listening to him and we ran away. . . and then korekiyo fell and keebo took him away before coming after me with the gun. . .," Rantaro explained quietly, looking as if he was about to cry. "and, um, i got really scared. . . so i texted you. and. yeah."

angie hugged rantaro and gave him a few rubs on the back.

"i'm sorry. hell, you're probably more traumatized than you were before going to that school with Shinguji! am i right?," angie joked, trying to lighten the mood.

"i cared about him, you know," rantaro snapped. "and he's-"
"hey, you don't need to tell me all the juicy details! i know you don't like talking very much," angie assured.

rantaro truly did hate talking. he had grown up with a doting father who would only let him talk to or interact with his six creepy sisters.
rantaro really just wanted to go on an adventure. it would be fun, and he could get far away from his family.
he never wound up going on any adventures, that is, until he met his friends.

however, due to his life of being in silence, he still felt weird talking to them.

so instead of continuing to talk to angie, he just mouthed the phrase, "i miss him already" before hugging her tighter.

"maybe we skip the crystal store and go get you calmed down," angie suggested.

rantaro nodded.

the two left the store, smelling like cologne and gucci bag prices that were too high.
