If this means that the school has something to do with this then our best bet is that field trips are a scheme of some kind too.

they need to somehow convince us that the trips are safe. the zoo thing was just for reassurance. to get you hyped up to go on the other trips.
and we have been REQUIRED to go on every school trip. normally you can just opt out. why would they force you to go unless they have malicious intent?
