Summary: Y/N and Kate meet when Phil sends Y/N to collaborate with the Avengers on an Hydra case. They instantly click and start dating, but they hide their relationship to their friends, until Avengers and SHIELD need to collaborate to defeat an Hydra base. How are they going to reveal to them their relationship? Easy, by flirting.

"No Y/N, I told you, it's a simple chemical process."

"Yeah, even if you've been telling me that for the past half hour, I'm not a genius like you two are, so I'm still not getting it." Y/N quipped with a teasing smile, playing absentmindedly with a pen on the work table, where she was leaning over with her arms crossed.

"You know this stuff too. Don't put yourself down." Jemma playfully slapped Y/N's shoulder and that gesture made a smile creep up her lips.

"Eh, I still prefer computer stuff." Y/N shrugged her shoulders and throw at the two genuses a bright smile. "Speaking of which- where's Daisy?"

"Right here you dummy." A second after Y/N's question, the Y/H/C girl jumped up in fright when those words were whispered in her right ear.

"DAMN IT! Daisy! You scared me." Y/N clutched her chest to try and calm down her heart beating wildly before slapping the laughing girl's left shoulder in annoyance while she was laughing her ass off at her reaction.

"That was the whole point of subtly slipping in the lab without you noticing." Daisy answered airily as low chuckles kept coming out of her mouth, before side-hugging the girl tightly apologetically. Y/N tried to ignore the brunette's antics, staying out with her arms crossed and her deep frown etched on her forehead, but she lasted only a few seconds before relenting and reciprocating hug.

"You're luck I love you, you piece of shit."

"Oh yeah, I really feel loved now." Daisy mocked the Y/E/C girl, who rolled her eyes at the joke and circled her arm around her shoulders to pull her more into her body.

"You two are insufferable." Fitz shook his head, perched on his closed fist that was leaning on the table, with a small smile on his lips.

"And that's why we love you." Simmons promptly concluded and grinned warmly at the two looking at them with glee sparking in their magnetic irises.

"Aw, I love you too guys. You are-"

"Y/N, can you come into the briefing room please?"

"And that's my cue everybody. Enjoy your chats while I'm gone talking to the boss." Y/N went to disentangle herself from her embrace with Daisy, but the brunette tightened her grip on her waist, stopping her from moving further away.

"It's cute to see you think you're gonna go there alone. We want to know too. Let's go." Y/N shook her head in amusement at her friends' curiosity when FitzSimmons nodded in agreement at Daisy's words before settling her eyes on the brunette who signaled with her head the lab's exit so they could all go to the briefing room.

"If i remember correctly, I only said Y/N." Coulson looked up from the pad and looked at Y/N, Daisy, Fitz and Simmons entering the room with an amused expression at their presence clearly not requested but not kicking them out. He got really attached to these weirdos.
