Whilst Sam and Bucky had their own agenda and mission going on to save you, you returned to yet another derelict hideout with the flagsmashers. They were all a little more flustered than normal, they were on edge. Karli had finally pushed it too far causing the rest of the flagsmashers to see her differently.

One rushes into the room and instantly searches for her name to see the outcome of her most recent display.

""Well then, let's see the latest updates after that explosion." his voice was deflated and scared.

There was a little bit of typing, then silence whilst the page loaded, everyone's eyes locked on either the computer screen or Karli. She was fixated on the floor, as always avoiding any kind of eye contact with anyone in the room, you saw her gulp and her breathes were very shallow.

"Number one wanted fugitive on Interpol. Damn Karli. What do we do now?" he was now definitely deflated and annoyed. He couldn't ever play poker because his emotions might have as well been written on his forehead in black marker.

You see everyone simultaneously turn their heads to watch Karli closely, who still hadn't gathered the courage to even look at anyone. Then she sighed and stood up straight, determination seeping out of her. It was sickening.

"Look" she took a deep breathe and you rolled your eyes, this was going to be a big speech that you really couldn't stomach. "I know this isn't for the faint hearted and it can ruin your lives."

You scoff and mutter no shit under your breath, as you cross your arms, watching her with narrowed eyes.

"If you want out and to just live. I understand." this captures your attention, you straighten up, your eyes widen and your heart fills with hope, as your stomach twists. "I won't hold any of you here if you don't want it." she goes on.

You stand up, courage was flowing through you. "That offer for everyone?" you counter, folding your arms as you deeply analyse the change in her body language. "Because, after that last display." you scoff and shake your head, packing things into a bag as you were speaking.

"My debt is paid. I agreed to do logisctics to get you supplies, help you survive. Not to assist in premeditated murder." you go on.

Karli then chuckles "As long as you're breathing your debt is not re-paid." her tone was cold, empty, menacing, it made your hairs stand on end. But that was your breaking point, you were done.

"To hell with you and your one world, one people bullshit." you stride towards her. You were now face-to-face, toe-to-toe with her "You're no different or better than the people you're supposedly opposing. You want to put your name in the history books, figure it all out for yourself." you spoke with conviction, your limit was breached.

She inches forward so you were practically flushed up against one another "Rememeber who you're talking to." she whispered, threatening.

You smirk "A teenagaer" you see her eye twitch as she gulps. You hit the nerve you were wanting to hit "That's who I'm talking to. You think this is war? You think you're winning by pointless muder? I've found people like you my entire life." you jab her in the shoulder with the tips of your fingers, jolting her shoulder backwards as she watches you with something you hadn't seen in her before - fear.

"I'm done fighting in wars, with no ending." you whisper out as you look down, this was one more blow to your ever beaten heart. But this was a hill you were willing to die on. You had took her too far as it was, you couldn't continue.

You look up at Karli through your lashes "Karma will get you.", loud enough so only she could hear you, she smirks and scoffs, dismissing your remark.

You turn, as you start heading for your belongings, you turn with a blank expression on your face, Karli furrowed her brows in confusion as she looked at the change in you.

"And if she doesn't... I damn sure will." It was more than a threat, it was a promise and your tone proved that to her. The recoil in her step, the gulp lodged in her throat and the rubbing of her hands confirmed she was in fact... scared, of you.

She tries to regain some of her compsure, taking a step forwards, examining the room for everyone looking at her.

"Watch your back Y/N." the stammer and cracking in her voice made you exhale through your nose, it was amusing how pathetic she was when someone actually tested her. She had no idea what she was doing, this proved it.

"I'm not the one with an ever growing target on it Karli." you say with callous.

You pull a rucksack on your back - it was actually your army bergen. Fitted everything you now owed in it, allowing you to move away at a moment's notice and you knew you could carry it's weight, even if it was full. Making your life a lot easier to up and leave, this time you were ecstatic to be leaving.

You knew this wasn't the end you'd hear from her. But that wasn't something you cared about in that moment.
