-Flashback to Y/N's deal with Walker-

"Man just hear her out. She sought you out after all." Lemar tries to reassure and calm John down as they are waiting for you to turn up. It was a public cafe in the middle of a food hall in a local mall. Public, loud and packed, you may have been bordering insane when you made the meeting, but you weren't stupid.

He was a risk. A risk you weren't going to take, without precautions.

"I have to say, I prefer your friend." You tap Lemar's back as you smugly approach from him "he's got common sense." You lo9k between John and Lemar.

"Talk." John says abruptly.

You smirk "it's simple. I can get you Karli. Lea you right to her, I'll give you all the o,and she has in store and you can take all catheter credit." You were being dramatic, emphasising every word, acting our your bed talk show host voice you could.

You were mocking him. You knew he was desperate for that information, desperate for that praise, that credit. He would do anything to get his hands on it all. At least, that's what you were hoping for.

"In exchange for?" John asks a little more cautiously and timid than you were expecting.

But as you lean forward, resting your forearms on the table and staring into his eyes, determination filled you "good to know there is some common sense in there. In exchange for you and your little friend here, leaving Sam and Bucky the hell alone. For good."

He sighs as he rubs his hand over his eyes and forehead, running his fingers through his hair, the exasperation he was clearly showing was the reaction you were expecting, but the actual turmoil you were witnessing... was worrying.

"What do you say Walker? We got a deal?" You encourage a response.

He starts chuckling "you're insane." He stops, takes a breath "the serum?"

A question you wasn't expecting but you had nothing to hide, that serum brought nothing but misery and destruction to every person and organisation in its presence.

"I'm destroying it." You start off, as you straighten up and cross your arms. "Steve was the exception to that thing going right. No one deserves Bucky's treatment and no one should be turned into a killing machine for sport." You spit out, your anger and disgust impossible to hide.

He thinks for a second then finally, he nods "Okay, but I've got a condition of my own." He counters, once again shocking you. You wait patiently for him to make his condition, he too standing straight and proud as he makes his demand.

"I arrest you. I take you in. Make it look legit, you escaping me has tainted my reputation, I'd like to restore it." He spoke so calm and cooly, you were almost impressed.

"Fair enough Walker. Oh and when I say leave the boys alone, I mean everyone associated with them, Sarah, Cass, AJ. Let them live their lives in peace." You argue back.

"Quite the advocate for them Y/N." He seems intrigued. "But you've got yourself an agreement, you don't uphold any of your end, I'm coming straight for them." He threatens in a hushed tone.

You roll your eyes at him, dismissing any ideas of fear he thought he may instill in you. "Yes Walker, very scary. But the same goes for you. Any harm or harassment goes their way." You take a step closer, standing toe to toe with him "I'm coming for you."

"Right." He gulps "shall we get to Karli or what?" He distracts.

"All in good time. She will reach out, she always does. And when she does, I'll send details promptly."

"I look forward to it."

-present day-

"Despite that little hiccup, good plan so far. Now, I want to know about Karli." Walkers smug attitude and arrogance was suffocating you.

Even with your hands handcuffed behind your back and "Captain America" leading you towards the holding rooms in the local police station, you couldn't help the automated response you had to Walkers inflated ego... the eye roll.
