Frustration

You slump down onto the sofa, groaning aloud. You were beyond annoyed, beyond frustrated and so worried you couldn't even entertain the thought of thinking "rationally".

"What exactly did she say to you Buck?"  you grumble out like the deranged man you were turning into.

Bucky gives you a side glance, before sighing and dramatically turning his head to scold you at a better angle "Man, I'm not going through this again with you." He was completely done with you, not that you could blame him. He'd heard the same question a thousand different ways from you over the past few days.

Bucky sighs, rolling his eyes as you watch him expectantly. "The story hasn't changed in the last three days. You need to stop obsessing." His frustration ringing true.

You sigh back, but yours was more defeated "I know, I know." you groan, "But, we haven't found her or anything in the days." the lump that develops in your throat at that very thought being said out loud, solidified your fear. You were scared... what happened to her?

"Because she obviously doesn't want to be found." Zemo echoes from the kitchen.

Bucky instantly rotates his head so his eyes were fixated on Zemo, the stare he normally gives had now turned into a glare. A murderous one. He didn't like Zemo being around but the unhelpful comments like that only aggravated Bucky to an unhealthy boundary.

Nethertheless, you had to put the fears of Bucky turning Winter Soldier on Zemo to one side, there were bigger, more important issues occupying your mind - much to your dismay, you'd hope you'd have a better time finding her, given you were supposed to have been her bestfriend at one point in time.

You drawn Bucky's attention with yet another question "She definitely didn't say anything." desperate, was too easy of a word to describe you right now.

"She told me she left the flagsmashers. That she'll handle John and for you to stay out of the way." Bucky was not completely exasperated as he flicked his wrists, in a "I don't know what else you want me to say" gesture.

You replay his words in your head and furrow your brows, tilting your head slightly, replicating the same kind of gesture "Why the sudden change in leaving then?" you ask, it was more a question you could have said internally, but as you were aware, rationality was out of the window.

"Reached her fill of murder." Zemo uttered nonchalantly.

"Shut it." Bucky instantly retorts. You glance up at Zemo, concern creeping it's way back into your head.

"Or she's dead." you recoil at the thought, your stomach was now in your throat and you could practically feel the cracks forming in your heart. "I mean Karli isn't exactly known for mercy. I doubt she'd be happy Y/N left." he shrugs his shoulders and grins. "What a shame." he whispers as he shakes his head.

You tilt your head, focusing on him fully. Did he really say that? How could he be so dismissive over the thought of her being dead, like he doesn't know the importance she holds.

But he wasn't done.

"At least we know it'll be quick. Karli is brutal after all and she does like sending her messages." There it was again, that sickening grin.

"One more comment from you, and you'll be cleaning your teeth up your ass." Bucky threatens. But that doesn't help you or your thoughts which were all over the place.

"Well as delightful as that sounds. I'm just being realistic." he was confident. Too confident. Could he have a point? Was you too late to save her.

"It's something he needs to comprehend." You'd had enough, you could barely breathe, the lump in your throat felt as if it was blocking your airway, your heart was shattering, your mind couldn't piece a thoguht together, each of them intruding on the next. You walk out, nevermind Bucky going Winter Soldier on him, you were ready to wipe that smug smile off his face for good yourself.

-Bucky's Perspective-

You weren't surprised Sam left, if that were you and someone spoke so callously about someone you cared about the way Zemo did, you'd of done alot worse than leave the room. His restraint was always something you admired and envied Sam for.

You. You however, were not... patient.

You stand and stride to Zemo, grabbing the tea cup from his hand calmly, he turns to face you, not knowing what to expect. You look him dead in the eye as you launch the tea cup past his head and at the wall behind.

Gritting your teeth you stood toe-to-toe with him, inches from his face. Glaring into his eyes, which as you expected were emotionless.

"I told you to fucking shut it. This isn't a joke."

He tilts his head asif he can't understand what you meant and why the sudden outburst. He didn't appreciate that this, this was tame.

"Now be useful. Find her." you spit out, not taking your eyes off him, which is how you notice the gulp he takes. Finally you were getting somewhere with him.
