"With all due respect," you opened your mouth, drawing attention to yourself. "I don't think he quite knew what he was doing."

Lucy gasped, bolting through the gap that had formed in the crowd. "Y/n! You're alright."

"Of course, I am," you smiled, patting her head before pulling away and taking her hand. She led you back through the crowd. You bowed your head to Your Father. You sensed He was smiling - He seemed that way.

"My daughter is right, Oreius," Aslan spoke to the centaur. "And I'm sure there's an explanation."

"It's my fault, really," Peter spoke up. "I was too hard on him."

"We all were," Susan backed her brother up, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Sir, he's our brother," Lucy said quietly, you were a bit surprised you managed to hear it.

"I know, Dear One," Aslan said. "But that only makes the betrayal all the worse. This may be harder than you think."

You stepped into Your Father's tent after you had changed into Narnian clothes. "You wanted to see me?" you asked timidly, not used to the whole situation yet.

"Indeed I did," Aslan spoke, sitting before you. "You don't have to be afraid of me, Dear One."

"I'm not-" you stopped yourself. "Okay maybe I am a bit. But the whole situation is new to me."

"I understand that," He said, nodding for you to sit down also, which you complied to. "Do you know why I sent you away?"

"I don't," you shook your head.

"Because I needed to keep you safe. I sent you away right before the Witch arrived. But I let you have that compass."

"Then I suppose You know how it works?" you asked hopefully. You had followed it, not really knowing after what it orientated.

"It leads you to where you should go," Your Father explained. "It led you to the wardrobe, no?"

"It did," you nodded. "And then it led me here."

Your Father smiled. "Yes, My Daughter. And it also helped you with your magic. Why did you deny it?"

"I... don't know," you frowned. "It- I felt so... so different from all the others."

"Is different necessarily a bad thing?" He asked. You smiled in silence, making Your Father chuckle deeply. "Come on, now. There's another talk we have to have today."
