It has almost been a year since I started working at this small cafe outside of the city. I used to go there often and when I found out they needed more workers, I signed up right away.

I'm in a hurry since it starts right after school and because Jimin and I were talking a bit too much in the last class we needed to stay 10 minutes after the class had ended.

I quickly open my locker and trow my backpack in it. While closing it again I put on my headset and start listening to the song I was listening to this morning.

I get on the bus and get off after 15 minutes. A little walk along the river and I arrive at the cute cafe. I open the door and walk to the back of the cafe. I put on my apron and start searching for Jiyeon.

Jiyeon is the owner of the cafe. Before I started working here we were already pretty close since I always had a little talk with her while ordering my daily coffee. She is a super nice but also shy and introverted girl. She loves to help people and I can really see that while she's working.

I finally find her, cleaning some dishes. "Ah, Sumi!" she says as she lays down the plate that was in her hands and walks up to me to give me a hug. "Have you eaten?" she asks with a worried frown as she inspects my face.

"Not yet. I don't really have time for that." She scoffs, "Not a fair excuse. You need to eat at least something. Wait, I'll make something for you."

"You really don't have to. I can eat when I'm at home-" I shush myself when I see her walk to the coffee machine. "Caramel Macchiato?" she asks and I just nod with a fond smile.

I sit down on a small table and start drinking my coffee. Jiyeon also gives me a small cake with some strawberries, which is delicious. When I'm done with my lunch I start my shift.

I look outside trough the big window while I'm picking up all the left over plates and mugs. It's starting to get dark. I can hear Jiyeon whistling some song while she's cleaning the tables.

I bring the plates and mugs to the back and then return to the cafe. "You sure you can handle it?" Jiyeon asks while putting on her long coat and a red scarf. "I just need to clean the dishes and lock the door. I'll be fine," I tell her.

She nods with a smile and leaves the cafe. Jiyeon needs to leave early today which meant that it was the first time I have the ending shift.

I start cleaning the dishes and since it was pretty quiet in the cafe today there aren't so many dishes. When I am done I get my apron off and put on my jacket and a beanie since it is pretty cold outside now and leave the cafe.

I check twice to see if the door is really locked and then start walking home. I am very tired but I don't want to go with the bus. I don't know why, I just don't feel like going with the bus.

With the only light coming from the moon I could barely see where I was walking. I look on my phone and see that it's already 11:23 pm. Normally Jiyeon and I would stay even longer and just play card games and stuff so 11:23 pm isn't even that late.

After walking for 15 minutes my head starts to get dizzy and my legs start to tremble. Even with my beanie on, my head was freezing. I start to slow down, but even before I could realize it, I fell to the ground and my eyesight went completely dark.

a bit later...

When I slowly open my eyes again I get blinded by the streetlights until someone stands in front of me. With a blurred vision I see a hand reaching out to me. I lift my cold and shaky hands and lay them in the hand of the other person. I hear a small giggle when suddenly the grip on my hands tightens and I'm being pulled up.

"Can you stand, or does something hurt?" I hear the voice of a man say. I can only nod.

While squinting my eyes I try to take a better look at my surroundings. Luckily, my sight is quickly back and I can look around without having to squint. I'm in the same street as where I fell down.

"Are you feeling a bit better?" The sudden voice in my left ear shocks me, but I remind myself It's just that guy that helped me up. I look over at him and see a boy around my age. His eyes are as dark as the midnight sky and he has a soft cute smile. He is also wearing a black beanie where I can see some black hair coming from underneath.

"I guess so," I reply. "Why are you walking all alone? Where do you need to go?" he asks. "I am on my way home." I say, feeling kinda uncomfortable since he has been holding me this entire time.

"I can bring you there, if you want of course." he suggest. I shake my head, "Thank you, but I'll be fine on my own."

"Are you sure?" he asks with a worried voice. His voice is so raspy it tingles my ears. The fact that he is so concerned about me makes me flutter a bit.

His arm was around my shoulder this entire time, it felt warm and cozy, but he really needed to let me go if I wanted to be able to go home. With my hand I lift his arm up and this already gave him the hint so he quickly held his hands behind his back.

"Well, goodnight." I awkwardly say as I already start walking away but I stop when he aks my name. "My name is Sumi, and yours?"

"Yoongi."

Wait, I've heard that name before. Jimin! He always talks about this 'Yoongi' guy. Nah, it must be a coincidence.
