When she got her gift she could no longer play in the mud

Vowed to be the most perfect sister ever so Mirabel would not have to deal with expectations she was afraid she wouldn't be able to meet.

Thought her sister was ungrateful for that when she kept trying to meet expectations, which is why their relationship was so tense by the time the movie started.
