@AuthorNev requested I do this, based on the Mirabel dies when the house collapses AU, so I will. There are two people I will not do this AU for, Mirabel because if you want to see how the family would react to her dying it's on the AU pages, and Alma, not because I don't like her, but because that hits a little too close to home for me at the moment, but everyone else gets a chance.

Also, implications of suicide and depression, this chapter is just very dark so if you want to skip this one and the next one, it would not offend me.

Let's start with the older generation

FELIX

Julieta: Julieta would be frantically trying to heal him, and wouldn't stop until someone, either Agustin or Pepa herself pulls her away. She would then cling to her husband, perhaps selfishly making sure that her husband survived that even if her sister's didn't. She wouldn't be able to face her sister for a while after that.

Pepa: Pepa would fall to her knees and beg there to be a swap. kind of like how Alma did in Dos Orugitas, she doesn't blame anyone for this, except for herself because if Felix never got mixed up with her, he wouldn't have been at risk for dying in this house. When/if she'd get her gift back in this AU, she would always have a cloud and no one would say anything about it, except Antonio would try to get it to go away.

Bruno: He'd leave for good this time. No way was his family going to want to see him come back, the screw up that he is, when someone as geniunely good as Felix was died.

Alma: She'd comfort her daughter as best as she can, and unlike with Mirabel dying AU, the family would let her, she would try to tell Pepa that the pain doesn't ever fully go away but it will ease up a little bit as time goes on, going on her own experiences.

Agustin: He'd have to be the strong Madrigal husband, he'd pull his wife, his daughters, and his sobrina and sobrinos as close to him as he possibly can, making sure Mirabel isn't blaming herself for this, and keeping a close eye trained on Pepa just to see what she would do.

Isabela: She'd want to go comfort Dolores, they were the closest cousins and Dolores would do the same if she lost her dad, but something stops her. Instead she watches Dolores, hoping she would seek out comfort from her and let her know that even if the two of them grew apart Dolores still needs her comfort.

Dolores: Dolores would slowly walk away from the scene, eyes never leaving her father's body, as she tries so hard to remember his voice. She'll look up and see Isabela waiting there, and she wants to get a big hug, but then her brothers would fall apart and she would have to be their rock. It isn't until later she lets herself lean on Isabela.

Luisa: She would cry and hit things, cutting her hands on the rubble as she apologizes to Pepa, to Felix, telling them that if she was stronger, she would have gotten him out, but Pepa stops her, telling her that she is still a child, it's not her fault.

Camilo: He would freeze, then he would try to shapeshift into his father's form, when he can't, he would panic, crying and running to scoop up Antonio and wanting to shield him from the sight, also wanting comfort, trying to hold him in the way that Felix always did.

Mirabel: She'd blame herself and try to run away like she does in the movie but Agustin would stop her and she'd catch sight of Camilo and Antonio. She'd linger before she finally gave up and hugged them both and both of them need that more than they would ever say.

Antonio: At first he wouldn't get it. Death is something that happened to people like his abuelo, it wouldn't click to him that his Abuelo wasn't that much older than his hermana when he died, it didn't happen to his father. He'd cry because everyone else is and when he finally gets it explained to him, he screams akin to an animal sound until he loses his voice
