Song of the Chapter: Do Ya Thing - Rihanna

Wednesday came around too quick and I found myself waking up early, to my familiar alarm. It had been a while since I heard that, and I didn't miss it one bit. Bradley was taking me to school, which put me at ease. I organised my clothes last night so all I was left to do was shower, which didn't take more than 10 minutes. I was wearing my blue ripped jeans with my plain, white knitted jumper, which was surprisingly cooling. I left my hair in a plain side plait and winged my eyeliner. I wanted to make an impression, but I didn't want to look too full on. I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my black bag.

"Brooke! are you ready?" I heard Brad shout from downstairs. I quickly packed my bag with a few books Brad left me and my phone. I hurried down the stairs, meeting my brother at the bottom. He greeted me with a smile and led me outside to his small, only just affordable, car.

"I bet this cost a bunch." I smirked and threw my bag in before I stepped in myself. Brad laughed and slammed the door.

"Its bearable, give it a few weeks you will be driving into school in a black Ferrari." Brad started the engine and chuckled to himself. I nodded, rolling my eyes.

"You wish... Oh..Bradddd Can you do my school day for me please?" I whined and he shook his head. I sighed and rested my head against my arm.

"You'll be fine B, I'm sure everyone will love you... I think you have a really nice person showing you to your classes. Just be." Brad commented.

"What do you mean?" I sat up and looked ahead.

"You know, enjoy yourself. Go to the parties, and just have fun. Don't let all this shit affect your life anymore B."

When we arrived at the school, my brother came up to the entrance with me where I was greeted by a tall, slim boy who had dark hair. His blue eyes pierced through me. He was very attractive, he looked clean and slick. His smile was sweet and innocent.

"Ahh, you must be Brooklyn! I'm Zac, I'll be showing you around the school." Zac bit his lip, whilst looking at me, but as his eyes fell to Brad, his smile dropped. Brad stepped forward to greet him, but he didn't look too happy.

"I'm sure she will be fine. Wouldn't want any broken hearts around here would we Zac?" Brad smirked.

"Oh no, I insist. Brad, I'm sure she won't be needing you anymore, but see you again." I was so confused, I just stepped through the quarry, into the school. It was huge, and filled with people. I just continued walking until I reached the end.

"Hey Brooklyn, wait up!" Zac's voice filled the corridor. I turned on my heels to face him. He soon caught up and stopped in front of me.

"Please, call me Brooke." I smiled. "So, you know my brother then?"

"Oh Brad, we go way back you know, this and that." Zac pointed me to the direction of my first class. We began walking and I caught a few stares, alongside smiles.

"Ah, that's why you sounded so friendly." I nervously laughed and followed him through a few doorways. "So I was thinking, you could just hand me my timetable and I'll find my way around, I feel guilty to put you through a hard day at school." Zac's sweet smile turned almost angry, it was intimidating.

"No, I think it's best I show you. It's only polite." However, this wasn't polite, it was kind of forceful. "Anyway, we have English class together first, so I might as well." I nodded, ignoring the forcefulness.

We walked into a vaguely large classroom and I saw a bunch of kids sat on desks, chatting. Zac immediately greeted them all and they all looked to me. The group mainly consisted of boys, but there was the odd girl.

"Who's this cutie?" A boy winked. His lip piercing made him look older, as well as more attractive.

"This is Brooke, Brooke this is Luke, all his mates have dispersed so we are stuck with him-"

"Alright settle down. Everyone to their seats." A tall, young figure came through the door clapping his hands to get everyone's attention. Most of the class took their seats and the last boy came through the door fist pumping Luke on the way. He was quite the sight. His longer hair attracted me the most.

"I believe we have a new student, Brooklyn. Well, hello Brooklyn, I'm Mr Fowler." He shook my hand and handed me a book. "You will be sat in front of Luke." I nodded and sat in front of Luke. His foot nudged my chair, causing me to chuckle.

"So what's the class about today then Fowler?" Luke pretended to be interested; it gained a few sniggers.

"Well actually Luke, I'm trying to find someone who has a free period 3rd lesson to help Brooklyn catch up with her English."

"I can do it Sir, I have a free period." Zac winked over at me and I sat awkwardly in my seat. His presence kind of made me feel awkward and intimated.

"I think not Zac... You're barely on a D at the moment and you are up to date, young Brooklyn here, is far behind and is on a C and could potentially be a straight A student... Maybe next time mate." Me Fowler tapped his shoulder. The class filled with laughter, causing Zac to slump in his seat.

"Ah, Ashton. A grade student, with a free period, oh what a small world. Brooklyn shall see you here 3rd lesson and we can catch her up a bit. Okay? Okay." Ashton looked up and nodded, I watched him look over to me. I dropped my focus to my paper. He weirdly made me feel like a stupid young teenager again. It was strange.
